Another little trick you can use to make the battle with Kreia a bit easier at the end, is that you can use "Force Confusion" to make the floating lightsabers attack each other. When there's one left, it will then attack her. Then you will have time to juice yourself up (stims, powers, etc.) and complete the whup-a$$ on Kreia.

Given that from what Kreia says about the *true* war against the Sith, about it being in the hearts and minds of force users, I am thinking that the battles in KOTOR3 (if it comes out) will be on a very intimate scale with lots of talking smack, etc. Sort of like how the fight with Darth Sion pans out. And depending on which abilities you decided to level up, this will determine which options will be open to you.

I have to vote for Exar Kun. Not only did he invent the double bladed saber, he was one serious bad-a$$ with it.
It's one thing to use a weapon, it's quite another to be the creator of it.

Re: The Ending (95 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic II)
I think that in retrospect, because the actual existence of a third game is up for grabs, the cliffhanger ending of KOTOR2 now seems to ring very hollow.
(not to mention that it did feel rushed anyhow).
I also think that having an enthralling story counts for alot. And while part 2 was alot more user friendly, (container: empty) for example, I still prefer the first game as it had much more engaging characters/story. And as a result, when the ending did come it was much more satisfying. (Just like the exploding Death Star in EP4).

I would have to say that given the ultimate goal of the Sith Order, (crushing the Jedi, and ruling the galaxy), and that through all the milennia of history, only Palpatine was strong/skilled/powerful enough to accompish these goals, I have to throw my vote towards him.
Granted his rule was a short one, but he still succeeded where no other Sith had, and that has to count for something.

Here's a few I figured I'd toss out there...
Knights of the Old Republic III: Genocide
Knights of the Old Republic III: Revelation
Knights of the Old Republic III: Roots of Evil
Knights of the Old Republic III: Apocolypse
Lemme know what you all think.

Re: Episode 3 Connections (23 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic)
Just to stir the drink a little. In the Korriban mission, there's that part where Yuthura talks about the Sithari (spelling?) or the perfect Sith being. One of tremendous power who will be a great sith and then bring them down. One could speculate that it was not Revan the prophecy was talking about but Anakin Skywalker.
(someone probably already thought of this, but hey, I'm new)

I think the reason people get a little aggrivated with Manaan is that it has alot of what I Affectionately call "Step and Fetch" missions. When you first play through the game some of that stuff really requires patience and having to use your noodle. But when you are *re*-playing the game, you already know the answers to the puzzles, so it's kind of a matter of muddling through them and getting to the next cool plot development, or saber slash mission. (if that's yer preference).
Personally, I like it as it's a nice change of pace, and it kind of lets you catch your breath before getting to the heavy stuff like the Leviathan section of the game.

Re: New Droids And Party Members (45 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic III)
Ok, here's what I'm thinking,
Just for the sake of the story, let's assume Revan's got to be in the game. Hopefully as a playable character. Given that assumption, you've got to have Bastilla and Carth as they were the main friends/lovers of Revan in the first game. (roles switch depending on if your Revan is female of male).
(plus I just like hearing Jennifer Hale's voice in a game, but that's another matter entirely).
Now as for the other characters you can have some of them make cameos, etc. almost as much as you like. But, I think most fans would get a kick out of seeing HK-47 and Jolee back for another go round as playable characters.

Re: What New Planets Would You Like To See In Kotor3? (174 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic III)
I am thinking some missions on Hoth would be very cool to play through. Imagine snow/wind effects on a next gen console like the 360. (only problem is nobody lives there so who would you talk to in the game?
Also some other worlds worth checking out might be Mycenoid (if I rememebr right that's the giant mushroom world from Ep3), Mustafar, (imagine force fatality moves where you push someone off a walkway and they do a nice half gainer into the lava.), It might also be cool to see Alderaan. Given how into culture they are, imagine running around a giant museum complex, or some other appropriate setting.

Re: How Should Revan Return In Kotor3? (109 replies, posted in Knights of the Old Republic III)
I think that Revan's comeback should be about say 1/3 of the way into the game. You start off playing as the Jedi Exile, and in your search for Revan, you enter an unwinnable battle (in terms if game mechanics...a scripted loss if you will). As The Exile starts seeping into unconsciousness, he sees a vague silhouette of someone coming in and wiping out his enemies, when he wakes up he sees that his rescuer is Revan. (plot ensues).
