Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

About a minute later Shab looked up. "Done." She answered, cheerful despite the electronic tone of the helmet. Picking up her blasters again. "If it weren't for the line of bodies behind you, that weren't because of you, I wouldn't be worried." She explained. Kraven knew she didn't usually go for her weapons until she was sure something was up, and she'd noticed him notice.

==========

In almost a panic as she's unsure how he's armed, Nei launched herself into the air with the Force. Venrii charged through where she was, leaving the space free for her to land again, twisting gracefully to face him before he had a chance to jump her again. In the interlude whilst Venrii regained his bearings, Nei risked attempting to draw the poison out of his system again.

==========

Astra shook her head as she used the Force to aid her movement too. "Men." She muttered under her breath. "Always need to show off." She quickly caught up with Nitsua. "Do you have any idea what this is?"

==========

Fraya sighed, disappointed. This woman was too slow for her entertainment. "There was me thinking anticipation was easier with less options." She stated, before taking her leave and returning to the main chamber, as was normal given her position within the Jedi. Perhaps in a more prominent observation role she could find someone worthy of entertainment at least.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Zeta: Meatbag, drop your weapon or make peace with your life. I am here for the male meatbag.

Kraven: *Puts one hand up and the other behind his back* And what would you want me for?

Zeta: My signs show you have 6 weapons on you with an assortment of grenades around your body. Answer a few questions and you won't end up like the others.

Kraven: What questions? *Looks towards Shab and mouths* Put it down.

As Nei tries to extract the poison, Venrii collects his berrings and Stabs upward, hitting Nei's arm. Sara Jane jumps atop of Venrii and tries to talk to him.

Sara Jane: Please don't make me do this.

Nitsua: A very powerful force user potentially turning to the darkside *He says to Astra*

Just as he finishes the sentence he arrives to see Venrii overtake his sister and about to impale her. But before he is able to, Nitsua stabs Venrii in the chest.

As the Jedi decide what will happen to the bomber, he stands up and looks at each Jedi Master and grins.

Britton: You know as you sit there, there have been something going on, no one checked to see if I had anything on me. If any of you were smart, you woulda checked my boots, and found my commlink.

The Jedi look cautious.

Britton: Now.

Just after he said the words Tamos appeared to the shock of every one who thought he was dead.

Tamos: First the two girls and that dog and now all of you, today was a win.

He then grabbed Britton and teleported as a shot from Tamos's ship blowing up most of the room.

Dacrott: That was beautiful.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Shab carefully holstered her blasters, entirely unsure about what to do, but resting her nearest hand on the control panel she was still stood next to. If necessary she would have enough time to reinitialise the turrets and duck before the droid shot at them. But she didn't fancy their chances if it wasn't unavoidable.

==========

Meanwhile down near the docks Xam, Kric and Shkala are still holding their places, guarding the door that Shab had opened and getting concerned that the fighting was getting nearer and that their companions had not returned. "Aren't they taking too long?" Shkala asked.

"They'll be back." Xam assured her. "Stay put, we defend this position as long as we need to." She stated firmly, as Kric and Shkala shared a look, not sure how much authority they were prepared to give her, but strangely compelled to allow her it.

==========

Nei pushed herself back up as she healed the gash on her arm, before placing her hand on Sara Jane's shoulder as she looked where Venrii was being held down by both Astra and Nitsua, even wounded as he was he was putting up a hell of a fight.

"The poison..." Astra stated, reaffirming her grip. "That's not normal, not natural."

==========

Fraya folded her arms as she stepped in front of Tamos and Dacrott. "I didn't think you two could get more foolish after your persistence for going after that girl and her dog." She paused, regarding the three men in front of her. "By saving your allies you have severely compromised the position of those of us who had worked damn hard to stay perfectly poised to sabotage."

Dacrott: A friend of yours?

Tamos: Maybe.

Britton: Thanks...Oh wait, she is with you?

Sara Jane is looking horror as she sees her brother injured but yet barely look hurt.

Nitsua stops and feels the explosion as he looks towards the council chamber.

The distraction allows Venrii to break off the two and pushes off Astra and tries to bite Nitsua's neck.

Kraven and Zeta stare down one another.

Kraven: So let me ask again, what do you need?

Zeta: You were seen in a skirmish here a week ago. I want to know what happened to the others.

Kraven: I don't know, it's been a week and I've been here.

Zeta: My sensors claim you are lying.

Kraven: Why do you want to know?

Zeta: My reasons are to me and my master.

Kraven: Who is your master?

Zeta: Data not available to outsiders. This is going nowhere. I need you, if you don't comply, then force is nessecary.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Shab was seriously considering setting off the turrets at this point, before she realised as she scanned with her visor, that Zeta was stood between enough radios for her to create an interference overload, giving them just enough time for a fast get away whilst he had to reset his systems to recalibrate for the overload of noise and static.

A few seconds later she'd set it up and dived towards the doorway pushing Kraven in the same direction.

==========

Nei dives towards Venrii slashing at his legs with her lightsabre, distracting him from Nitsua, and momentarily worried at how little effect it has on him, shrugging off the burns completely, and the shallow cuts barely slowing him down.

Before he was able to pin Nei down, Astra used a strong force push to knock him down the street far away enough for them to regain their senses and metaphorically regroup.

==========

"Friend?" Fraya asked, raising an incredulous eyebrow. Then reconsiders. "Perhaps I assume too much of you, Tamos. I had not thought you would be in this for yourself, and perhaps I was merely fortunate in being caught in the teleport beam..."

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

As Kraven was pushed out the door he turned to Shab, "You got the hangers open yeah?" He asked.
----------------------------
----------------------------
Nitsua rushed to Sara Jane and helped her up to her feet. "I know this is hard, but we need your help. Is there any thing we can use to help stop or slow him?" He is looking at the girl.

She stands there looking down the street at her brother. "When we were younger, he had to get his legs repaired from an incident on the farm. He had to get surgery, if you can get to his legs, you should be able damage the things inside to slow him," She stands still looking as her brother is starting to get up, "There is no saving him is there?" She turns to Nitsua with tears streaming down her face.

Nitsua looks down the street and understands that whatever happened to him isn't reversible, or if it is, they haven't found it. He looks at her and shakes his head. "I don't think so."

Down the street, Venrii is getting back to his feet.

Nitsua has Sara Jane stay back. He doesn't feel she should be apart of this. He makes it back to Nei and Astra. "So did you come up with a plan? He has his back legs repaired, she said we take those out he should be partially paralyzed."
-------------------------------
-------------------------------
Tamos brushes off what Fraya has said. "Look, we needed all hands on deck, there is a war coming. Best thing to ever happen, literally just happened. The thing with the girl and the dog was purely coincidental, not saying that it feels me with happiness that three of the most annoying people in my life are soon to be dead, but now the Republic won't have allies for a while and this means that it's a win. I'm not in this for myself, this came from the top." Just as he is finished with his sentence a female comes from the other room of the ship.

"Our enemies need to be assaulted, massacred, and dead. This is just the first step. Now you were smart enough to go into the teleportation field, the others weren't. So now you're here, and just like that you happen to be the last member of the council alive on Coruscant, I know how much you enjoyed your little sabotage role, but now you get to have the ultimate role as you will rebuild the council and then use it, however you want. Tamos and Dacrott here are just happy to have the council dead and this is the greatest thing to happen to us, because now you can turn the Jedi against the Republic." Penalla states as she is waiting for a response from Fraya.

Danden in utter shock once he hears the news of the Jedi council being destroyed. He knows not to travel to Coruscant anytime soon and contemplates whether he should stay once he lands on Korriban. The thought process is cut short as Brutas slaps him on the back.

"Well, soon enough the war will be over before a single true battle is fought." He declares with a boisterous tone.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Shab managed to resist flipping Kraven a rude Mandalorian gesture. "Yes." She replied instead. Then she saw Xam raise her head out of cover where she and the other two were providing covering fire to keep the fighting away from the hangar. "Duck." She added seriously, diving down to avoid whatever it was that Xam was about to do.

==========

Xam had managed to organise the other two relatively easily, they were clearly used to fighting, she just had to get them used to fighting with more than just each other.

For now, however, she had one of Shkala's incendiary grenades and was busy adding a sonic blast to it. Then leaning out of cover just long enough to shoot at them to get them where she wanted them, and tossed the grenade as Shab saw what she was up to.

==========

"A droid stun should have similar effects." Astra suggested. "Nei can you slow him down? That gives me a good shot, and leaves Nitsua free to pin him down if this doesn't entirely disable him."

Nei nodded, and braced herself, readying herself to slow Venrii when he started running at them.

==========

Fraya regards Penalla coolly. "Intriguing. Accusing the Republic of failing in their duties to the Jedi should work well enough. However to have a council worth using, there has to be more than one member." She paused. "So do I get any recruits? Any survivors? I'm not fussy, but rebuilding would be quicker than building."

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Kraven ducked along with Shab, he wasn't even going to risk anything after the encounter with the droid. "Alright, now we grab those three and make it to my ship, unlatch and finally get away from here, also we have about 5 minutes until this whole place goes boom."
----------
----------
Penalla understands the predicament Fraya is in and makes a decision. "You have at least 5 others you can call back to form the council. There are 2 on Dantooine. 1 on a moon near Alderaan. 1 is in deep space, but can be reached. And the last one is right here."

Tamos turns around to Penalla pointing towards him. "I'm honored", he says in shock, "but, I don't think sending me there would be wise."

Penalla tells him, "Many don't know of Coruscants roots, but let me assure you, no one would know, after all, you're reported as M.I.A. not deceased." She looks at Tamos with a look that makes Tamos question where her mind is at. "With you two in control, the war will be swift and quiet. I trust in both of you."
------------
------------
Nitsua readies as Venrii bolts towards the three and before Venrii can land, he is caught in the air and Nitsua notices Sara Jane has came to their aid. Sara Jane steps next to Nitsua, "We can't help him by stopping him", there is a pause between her words, "do it."

Just as the words leave her mouth. Nitsua frowns and looks at Venrii, he charges and pierces Venrii's chest, hitting his heart. The thud on the ground mimics Sara Jane falling to her knees with an emotionless expression.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

"And you know that how?" Shab asked, and as she and Kraven reached a good covering fire spot in the hangar, she signalled Xam. Who directed Kric and Shkala towards the bay doors. They were swift but careful.

Just as Kraven was about to answer Shab used her scanner to open the TMT's hatch.

==========

Nei dropped down to clasp Sara Jane's shoulders as she continued to stare at her brother.

Both Astra and Nistua stood in silence for a moment, before the twi'lek spoke. "We need to find out what that was, so it doesn't happen again."

==========

Fraya continued to look unreadable for a few moments before she spoke. "Then send me the dossiers to the usual place. I better get back before anyone gets suspicious."

With that she indicated to the ship's tech to teleport her back, nearby enough to explain her survival and not be suspicious. In fact as she found the response teams even she found herself surprised that they didn't question how she was all right and just accepted her help.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Penalla smiled as Fraya left and turned to Tamos. "Now, for very obvious reasons, you can't be down there right now, so for now you will be watching her and when the moment strikes, find an opportunity to be found by her, think of an explanation for your absence and make it convincing. You will be needed to refill the Council." She says sternly.
----------
----------
Nitsua speaks in a calm voice, "We need to let her rest, we need to see what that explosion was, Nei can you stay with her and find a safe spot?" He asks while continuing to Astra, "We can go and see what happened." He glances at everyone and hands them a device. "Com-link so if anything comes up we have direct lines to each other."
-----------
-----------
As the hatch opens, Kraven now in front of Shab, the bodies of a few with troopers lay motionless. "They tried to board and some toxins might have been unleashed, they aren't dead, but they probably wish they were right now. I overheard some chatter and one of them had their comm on and we need to leave. Let's decide what to do with them once we leave this planet."

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Shab looked from Kraven to the guards on the floor, and back again. Then turned to Xam. "Check on them." She added, before hurrying after Kraven, regardless of what was about to happen he'd need a copilot, if not someone to provide some convincing codes for departure to prevent Junkka sending anyone to escort them back again.

It didn't take Xam long to check on them, the toxins were of such low level that their immune systems were already winning again. None of her antidotes would be required. It didn't take the three of them long to get them to the commons and bind them up. After a quick search Xam hadn't found any more sophisticated way of ensuring they wouldn't cause any problems on board.

Shkala was sat on the table opposite them when Xam returned, examining them with curiosity, while Kric observed as if bemused. "You know, we could just kill them and toss them out of the airlock..." Shkala suggested, leaning in close to one and bearing her fangs.

"Tossing them out of the airlock will do both." Xam retorted.

"So why would we need to keep them?" Shkala asked, leaning back and now toying with a thin dagger.

"Leverage." Kric stated. "Or perhaps ransom would be more to your preference." He added with a knowing grin. "You might be able to upgrade your grenade launcher."

==========

Nei nodded. "Though I'm not sure there is anywhere safe right now." She added, encouraging Sara Jane to her feet.

"We better take him with us, I don't trust that there won't be more trouble otherwise." Astra admitted, indicating to where Venrii still lay, appearing dead. Yet why didn't she truly believe that was the end of it? Nitsua nodded, and as Nei and Sara Jane headed in one direction, they collected Venrii and headed towards the explosion.

They arrived to find rescue efforts already under way, and they instantly went to offer their services. "Fraya!" Astra recognised her friend. "Fraya what happened?" She asked, hurrying over.

"The bomber, the one who was on trial, had one last surprise for us." Fraya explained. "First we find survivors, then we address the security concerns, as it would appear that we are currently vastly unprepared."

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

Kraven walks out and blasts each sith trooper. "Out the airlock, can't even think listening to you guys." He starts putting them into the airlock. "We should be far aw...." The blast rattles the ship and Kraven.

Re: The Dark Unknown (rpg) Sign Up

"Xam, get on the turrets!" Shab shouted from where she was still sat in the copilots chair, flicking one of the switches above her head as she tries to manoeuvre away from the ship chasing them. "I bet it's that bloody droid..." She muttered to herself.

Xam hurried to do as she was asked, whilst the other two looked at each other and made a start on moving the bodies towards an airlock. Though Shkala checked their pockets for goodies first.

"Wait, before you two toss anything..." Shab started, eyes still on her controls as Kraven took his pilot's seat again. "Do you still have your comm link?" She asked Kraven.

==========

Astra stared after him with her hands on her hips and a slightly incredulous look on her face. "He's always been arrogant." She muttered, turning back to Fraya. "What happened?" She asked more seriously.

"I could ask you the same thing." Fraya replied, indicating to the creature Nitsua was carrying.

"We followed a darkness, found him attacking a young girl. Dealt with it." Astra summarised. "If you won't tell me what happened then tell me how to help."

Fraya considered this. She had already briefly outlined the bomber had done it, any other details at this stage would probably backfire on her later, and she didn't want Astra helping look for survivors, she'd probably be too efficient at it. "We already have people searching the rubble." Fraya explained, indicating Astra follow her. "We have already found survivors, though we are short on healers."

Astra nodded and turned to the make-shift camp where survivors were being brought, with frantic medical staff running between them, though few Jedi. Even in the survivors there were few Jedi amongst them, mostly civilians come to watch the trial of the bomber. Astra rolled up her sleeves and set to work, she could help here.

==========

Nei tugged on Sara Jane's arm, the girl had insisted on finding a vantage point to see what had happened. And Nei had humoured her, but now they needed to go and find somewhere safe to recuperate after the fight. And Sara Jane needed time to grieve.

Nei took the girl back to where the Jedi Council chambers used to be, after the initial wave of bombings many of the buildings around the area had been abandoned by those who lived or worked there. They were empty, and people had already had plenty of time to finish looting. Even so, she picked one that looked least appealing to looters, and encouraged Sara Jane to sleep, whilst she kept watch for now.

"Not just the port..." Shab corrected. "And they've gone now, there were a few other manic escapes." She added, as she had time to figure out all the readings rather than a few dots on a screen careering towards them as the ship shook.

Xam jumped back down. "We were fifty clicks out, how could-"

"There's nothing left." Kric interrupted, looking out of one of the view ports.

"Either way, I'm voting away from here." Shab added, as she flicked a few more switches. "I've locked in our signature to flux out during our journey, with any luck they shouldn't be able to track us completely."

Kraven calls everyone to the cockpit. As they arrive he asks that one of them goes to map and then hold a vote. "So, as we all know, a planet literally blew up and we don't have any idea who or what survived, so, could we decide where to go?" As they think about an answer a ship tails them and fires a few rounds.

"Okay, just pick a place and we'll go, maybe someone can use those bodies as cover for us, maybe put a few mines or grenades?"

No one can see the smirk on Shab's face. "Oh, I'm way ahead of you." She assures him. "Comm link, now. I'm not having some demented droid in need of a memory wipe undoing all my hard work." She pauses with her hand out towards Kraven. "I'll make you a new one, a better one." She entices.

Meanwhile Xam tells Kric and Shkala to gather their mines and grenades whilst she goes to plug in a planet at random. Right not she doesn't care, they can change course later if need be, but anywhere has to be safer than Junkka. Or what was left of it.
