Mist

And yet the guy in charge gets credit for his underlings work. It's just the way things are.

Tbf it wasn't so much that they happened, but how they happened.

They could have told a good story, but no, they went for... that. I mean, in a way it's impressive that it was so bad that Jedi Samuel L Jackson and Ewan McGregor didn't make up for much of it.

Also I liked the droid who wielded four lightsabres, I thought they wasted him as a villain. Can't remember his name...

Edit: General Grievous! Literally came to be as I pressed submit.

"Why walk into the gunfire when you have minions to do that for you?"

Edit: I don't know why I put that in speech marks, but it seemed appropriate.

You can build one for way less than that. Well £ anyway, I dunno about $ or other currencies.

And it's easier than you'd think.

To be fair it might be better if they start telling brand new stories in the SW universe rather than paying continual homage to the ones who started it all.

I'd like to think that would give them the creative freedom to make something great again, but maybe it'd fail.

Technically it would be like hiring an expert, and I'm sure I've seen credits such as "continuity coordinator" before.

It comes down to a conscious decision to remove all past canon so that they're not restricted to more than they have to be and therefore can milk the franchise for all it's worth. It's a business to them, not a labour of love.

Edit: I don't know what that says about me that my brain's logic is "can't have anarchy without rules to break".

I never said I'd make their odds of survival good. Hell, for all I know she doesn't survive the first chapter.

Yeah, that, that's the bit I mucked up on. Because screw taking everyone out, I've got these guys who I've bloody well trained by now, I cba to do this with the rest of you.

Tbf I doubted you'd do that to them, but it is just the one thing I don't want to happen to them. I don't mind if they win/lose/die/survive/mess up/betray/unite/other tropes so long as their strengths and flaws are kind of balanced.

No I mean that I think I missed actually getting a load of conversations with them. I think you had to balance who to take with you rather than assuming after enough time you'd open up new options or something. Or I just really failed at this game.
