I like Mission, but she's one of the ones that I thought could have been done better, or even just more. Again I think she'd benefit from a remastering of the game. Also Juhani, i like what you're trying to do here, but just needs a few tweaks. Maybe that was just me though.

I think I said Canderous and HK because they just say what they think and it makes for some amusing scenarios.

And I never got the disciple, I got Michel or whatever his name was instead. And he was so bad I got a mod to replace him.

I can't decide about Javik, one the one hand he's a really interesting character, on the other hand he's just a patronising jerk. I mean, it makes sense given he was born in war with the Reapers and is trying to adjust after a 25,000 year nap. It just gets a little tiring after a while.

Also, Grunt... "Yes, I like pie. No, you can't come in!"

But useless in combat, like all non force users in the same.

But that's why nerds invented mods.  big_smile

Anyone else want to offer their faves?

Or ones with funny companion observations.

So that's all of Korriban with HK...

I mean, I think I know how to avoid a bunch of the side quests... the problem is overcoming the little voice that isn't happy with unsolved quests in my log in games.

Thanks to a period at uni where I listened to everything via fan made YouTube videos I have a tendency to make music videos in my head based on whatever characters are flavour of the month.

I think the problem with the Revan thing is that it's going to deal with some... unpleasant issues and I want to do it well. And I haven't played the game for... a long time. Maybe that's the solution? How long do you reckon I can whiz through KOTOR in?

I haven't forgotten about my Revan based fic. It's just proving a lot more difficult to write than I anticipated. I have half a plot in my head, I'm just struggling to get the damn thing going. Screw it, roget writing in it chronological order I'm getting the scenes I know down and filling the gaps... So long as I edit it properly it should make sense by the end. :S

Rights

It's only bad if it bothers you. And if it bothers you focus on the few that you care about and finish them.

I think if I counted all the unfinished stories on my harddrive I'd be close to a hundred.

(I'm assuming comp means companion)

Ugh. For ME that's picking out of like 10 characters.

For character I'm torn between Wrex, Tali, Jack & Mordin. But I do have major softspots for Kasumi & Legion. Can I give Chakwas & Aria a shout-out?

Gameplay wise depends on which game. For 2 & 3 anyone I can make power detonations with. First playthrough of ME3 I think I did most of the game with Kaidan and Liara because I played sentinel; so many booms! Mordin was pretty good for tech explosions too.

For game one Tali was the single most useful NPC on insanity mode. Actually most ME1 NPCs had better powers in the original than ME3.

For KOTOR...

Character wise I think it has to be HK, I love that droid. Jolee & Canderous are pretty great too. Tbf I think the only companion I actively disliked was Bastila. Some of the others could have been portrayed better or a little less two dimensionally, but good overall. Though maybe I should be able to get through a game without so many threats of a spanking (and not even an Isabela in sight). Don't ask me about KOTOR2, I can barely remember them.

Gameplay wise you have to take at least one Jedi, it's designed that way. You can do it with non-Jedi but they're basically canonfodder so what's the point? Canderous is supposed to be a great warrior, HK assassin yet they go down so easily. Unless I just played it very badly.

How about you?

Real bad in what way?

Lol. Who do you normally take with you?

sorry, didn't mean to ignore this, I lost al my blue squares to tell me where there were new posts.

I tend to get a squad I've learnt to use together and then stick with it. And often ignore characters I find dull or uninteresting. Can't remember specifically for KOTOR 2.

Also the problem with a KOTOR movie with Disney in charge is that they want to rewrite the canon to their own and I feel like they'd totally sterilise it to make it suitable for all audiences. I know it's kinda tame by a lot of standards, but that doesn't mean they can't/won't try.
