The Final Confrontation
My name is Vasyl Kasra, and I am a Jedi Knight. That is what I’ve been telling myself these past few weeks, but it didn’t feel like the truth until now. I had to face my love, the one who saved my life when I was Darth Revan, in combat an hour ago. To see her fallen so far was almost unbearable for me. In an hour, Carth will prepare to board the Star Forge, and I’ve been tinkering with my electrum lightsaber and making sure everything is in place; the Solari crystal, which I found on the remains of Shaela Nuur in the Tomb of Naga Sadow on Korriban, and the Upari crystal, which I found on the remains of a Sith Master in the Temple of the Ancients on Rakata Prime, are fitted perfectly. The violet, blue, and “Mantle of the Force” color crystals are ready.
There are three buttons on the activator plate, the first one activates the blue crystal, the traditional color crystal of Jedi Guardians, that I received from Master Dorak on Dantooine before I myself became a Jedi Guardian. The second button activates the violet crystal, a crystal from the planet Hurikane that I found in a broken lightsaber along with some Jedi Master robes in the Krayt dragon’s cave back on Tatooine. The third one activates the crystal called the “Mantle of the Force”, a crystal that my good friend Suvam Tan let me buy on the Yavin Station, which produces an unusual cyan colored blade.
I will probably use this crystal against Darth Malak, my former closest friend. I also realize that I will probably have to face off against my dear Bastila one more time. My only hope is that I can redeem her; it is never too late for redemption, I was the Dark Lord of the Sith and now I am redeemed.
And speaking of Malak, I am truly sorry that I lead him down the dark path. I wish that I had never corrupted him with the Sith teachings that I found on Korriban. He was born with the name “Alek Squinquargesimus”. I met Alek at the Jedi Academy on Dantooine, and we became the closest of friends. He was the first Jedi to join me in my quest to defeat the Mandalorians during the wars, and he was the first to join me when I fell. I probably will not be able to convince Malak to surrender to the Jedi, but I owe it to him to try.
An hour later, I was wearing the “Qel-Droma Cloak” that I found on the remains of Duron Qel-Droma in the Shyrack Cave on Korriban, and I was also wearing the “Circlet of Saresh” headgear I found in the corpse of one of the terentatek that Jolee, Mission and I killed on Kashyyyk. As soon as Jolee, Juhani, and I stepped off the Ebon Hawk, a team of four Jedi greeted us and started to give us instructions when some Dark Jedi came out of a turbolift and started to attack the other three. I activated the second button on my activator plate, bringing my violet blade to life. Juhani activated her blue and green blades and started attacking two of the four Sith relentlessly. One of them quickly fell to her twin blades, the other switching tactics to try to survive against Juhani’s merciless assault.
Jolee on the other hand, used the Force to stun the third one, then threw his green lightsaber in the chest of that Dark Jedi. The last one who remained was fighting me, he was using a crimson saberstaff. He tried to overwhelm me with his saberstaff, but I already knew how to counter all of its attacks, thanks in no small part to Bastila. I used my mastery of Ataru to overwhelm him, then I used my mastery of Juyo to finish him off. I’ll probably have to use my mastery of Forms III, IV, and Juyo extensively throughout the Star Forge.
The first Jedi Team we met told us after we disposed of the Dark Jedi to go find and finish Malak, and told us that they would guard the ships against any other Dark Jedi. Jolee, Juhani and I proceeded into the monstrous depths of the Star Forge. We encountered a few Star Forge Droids, but we worked together against them. Juhani was on the attack, Jolee used the Force to throw them off the walkway, and I defended Jolee and Juhani by deflecting most of their blaster bolts. After that we proceeded to a huge walkway where a team of three Jedi were fighting a team of three Sith. They held their own for a while, but by the time we got near them, the three Jedi were struck down and the Sith were already heading our way. This time I was on the attack, using Juyo strikes to take down two of them. I dealt with the last one by using the Force to lift him up and crush his lungs and windpipe, killing him instantly.
Meanwhile, Jolee merged to the left to take care of the two Dark Jedi guarding one turbolift door, using his mastery of Makashi to take them out quickly. Juhani, on the other hand, headed to the other turbolift door on the right and used her mastery of Form V: Djem So and Jar’Kai to dispatch the two Dark Jedi quickly. We headed to the first deck and the first problem we encountered were the turrets. Before they noticed us, we turned to the left and battled our way through Sith forces, Dark Jedi and trooper alike, to get to the control room to shut down the turrets. We made it to the control room and disposed of the three Sith in there, then shut down the turrets. While Juhani and Jolee were battling Sith troopers outside the control room, using the computer, I also created a Jedi robe called the “Star Forge Robes”, which gave me increased wisdom and willpower. I quickly threw off my robe, donned the Star Forge robes, and threw the Qel-Droma cloak over my back. After I was finished in the control room, I helped Jolee and Juhani eliminate the Sith that remained on the deck and went to the turbolift that the turrets were guarding, and headed to the deck of the command center.
