He’s Broken

Author’s Notes: We have started a new series, it seems. Well, in this, someone’s old friend comes back for a visit, and he isn’t happy!

The Ebon Hawk flew through space. The entire crew was still chilled at the sound they had heard. Nobody knew that it was Ravenstrike, but they knew it wasn’t friendly-sounding. “What the hell was that?” Carth asked everyone, as if they knew what it was. “I honestly have no idea. If I knew, I’d tell you.” replied Mical. “All I know is that it was scary!” This came from Mission, who was scared half to death. “Statement: It sounded like a sort of bird, meatbag. Strange as it sounds, it was the sound of a bird. I suggest we find it so that my blasters have something to shoot.” Norris laughed. “Silly HK, it sounds like you’re just thinking wishfully. I don’t think you’ll be shooting anything soon.” “Expletive: Dammit! I thought I would get a chance this time.” This cracked the entire crew up.

On the mysterious planet, Arden and Atton were relaxing. “Well, Atton, you might be here for quite a while. Might as well get used to it.” “Man, that was some battle you had on Korriban. I watched every move you guys made out there. Brutal deaths, though.” “What happened to Ravenstrike after I died?” “Well, Mission got him back over to the Light, and he returned to Telos with us. But, a couple of days later, he snapped and left, yelling at everyone. We didn’t see him since. Then, Azreth left and he never returned, either. We were just returning to normal when…” Atton stopped talking and looked up. Arden looked up as well. They could hear the the cry of the black bird.

The Ebon Hawk landed on Naboo. When they got off, they were all in a hurry, especially Carth. He wanted to see his son. At the sight of everyone, Dustil’s eyes widened. “WOW! You guys all came to visit me? I’m flattered.” Carth chuckled. “Well, we weren’t gonna let you go without being embarassed a bit!” “Well, you could’ve called first!” We were going to, but we figured…” Carth was interrupted by a roar. A roar that was all too familiar to Mira. “YOU!” came the Wookiee voice of Hanharr, who had somehow managed to escape from Malachor V before it was destroyed. “Hanharr! How is it that you keep finding me?!?” Mira asked him in dismay. “You forget that I know what you smell like, little girl!” he growled at her. “I followed your scent to this place. You were lucky before, but you won’t escape me this time!” He rushed at her.

Back on the mysterious planet, Arden and Atton had gotten over the shocking sound they had heard. “I know what that was!” Atton told Arden. “It was Ravenstrike yelling.” They looked at each other and nodded. Running to the temple, they knew what they had to do. Atton didn’t know where to go, and so jumped into the first pit he saw. Arden was experienced at this, so he found the pit he was supposed to jump into. They were resurrected soon after…

Back on Naboo, Mira had successfully fought off Hanharr, who had run away, swearing that he would return one day. Tired from travelling, the crew and Dustil began to leave when suddenly, a blinding light appeared in front of them. Someone was coughing inside the light. When it faded, there stood Arden Slyk. Bastila was simply delighted. Atton, too, appeared, but he appeared farther away, and he appeared evil. He was…broken.
