 Carth OnasiRevan (Female/Light Side)Star Wars

I regret I shouldn’t have let Revan go, Carth thought sadly. She told to keep the eye on the Republic and not to go after her, said she come back someday after she’s done. Done with what? He sat outside in the backyard on Telos where he and Revan always enjoyed the sunset together but now she’s gone, it was just a simple happy memory. Their three year old twins Asta and Corick climb on the tree Revan planted before she left. Asta and Corick even at a young age are beginning to establish their connection to the Force.

Three years ago, when Revan was pregnant, she remarked that the children shall grow up to be great Jedi since… well herself. She joked they would have Carth’s charm and piloting abilities. After she gave birth to them, she left the next day without warning except to watch over the Republic in its poor state after the war with Malak. There hasn’t been a day passed, that Carth never stopped longing her. Being a single parent is hard even when help is around. Asta and Corick needed a mother; he couldn’t be both being a dad, admiral, and mom at the same time. But he must be strong for the three of them. As he started to daydream of his times with Revan, Asta and Corick broke into his thoughts as they screamed joyous laughter as they played with the bugs and birds. Soon it was getting pretty dark.

“Alright you two it’s time to go to bed!” Carth called out to them.

“Aww, come on Daddy,” Corick said, “Do we have to?”

“Yes, you do then you are ready to play tomorrow.”

“Daddy, can I ride on your shoulders?” Asta asked.

“Of course I can.”

Carth lifted Asta and placed her on his shoulders. Asta squealed in delight as she playfully tugged on his hair as though she’s riding a swoop bike. Corick grabbed on his father’s hand as they walked towards the twins’ nursery.

After tucking them in bed, Carth asked,” What story would you like to hear tonight? Do you want to hear about ‘The Lonely Kath Hound’ or the ‘Little Princess Toadstool’?”

“Uh, Daddy, Corick spoke,” Do we have a mommy? Where is she?”

Carth took a deep breath. He wasn’t prepared to tell them any time soon. But they had to know someday. “Well, yes you do have a mommy. She is gone somewhere far away fighting for your future and freedom.”

“Can you tell us her story?” Asta asked.

” Your mother was a brilliant and gorgeous woman. She was so much different from other Jedi Knights. Her name was Revan Kelto. She defeated Darth Malak and became savior of the Republic. Your mother and I loved each other so much; we had the perfect wedding then two wonderful children. Asta, you look just like her but have my eyes. Corick, you look more like me but have her hair color.” Carth paused to laugh a little, “I used to trust nobody, not even myself until I met your mother. She made me realize I had to have faith in allies and friends. She was stubborn, strong-willed and saved my butt many times than I can count. Also, she had a nasty temper that matches her fighting skills. After a while, she left to fight and she’ll be coming home soon so you can see her.”

“Daddy, you’re crying,” Asta said.

Carth was surprised to see a tear running down his cheek. He didn’t know he would feel so sad telling his wife’s epic tale. “Well, that’s the story for all it’s worth. Now give your Daddy a kiss goodnight and I’ll see you tomorrow. Maybe your mother is coming home.”

After receiving a kiss on each cheek, Carth gently close the doors behind him and headed to his private study. He took out a holo locket he had kept for three years containing the last holo of Revan in her glamorous gown. He activated the device and an image and recording of Revan, the woman he loved spoke out to him, “Hiya, there Carth, you good-looking man,” Revan teased with a smirk and mischief running in her eyes, “How’s the most handsome admiral in the galaxy?”

“He’s missing the most gorgeous woman in his life. You are look good yourself too. I wished you are here with us; Asta and Corick are growing up fast. You have no idea how much I miss you,” Carth gave a holo a cocky grin he knew Revan always loved,” You know I love you, right?”

Of course the holo of Revan didn’t respond back but continued to smile and began to dance gracefully across the room. Then she held arms out to Carth asking him to dance with her. Carth had to the urge to dance with her. The holo of Revan stopped dancing and the image disappeared. He held the holo locket close to his heart and gingerly kissed it.

“Please Revan, where ever you are come home soon.”
