With those words, Revan drew his lightsaber and slashed at the seated Reika. His yellow blade cut through the hover chair causing the two halves to collapse onto the floor, but missed Reika, who had already, through the aid of the force, leaped clear of the seat and drawn a long slender silver handled lightsaber and ignited it’s deep fuschia blade. He landed about three feet away from Revan and swung around to face him. Revan then turned to face his opponent and let loose a strong volley of force lightning. With one outstretched hand, Reika deflected the lighting, which ricocheted into the walls, causing plaster and rubble to fall from the ceiling. Reika in turn, cast a volley of force lightning at Revan, who held up his yellow blade to absorb the attack. Wasting no time, Reika called upon the force to hurl the remnants of his hover chair at Revan. With a powerful force crush, he destroyed the approaching projectile in mid-air but then Reika was on top of him.

Reika’s purple blade arced gracefully through the air as it slashed at Revan from up high and was met by the latter’s yellow saber. Parrying the attack, Revan went on the offensive, slashing at Reika from the right, then the left, then from below, then a thrust to the chest. Reika though, countered Revan’s blows and force pushed him back halfway across the room. Then, propelling himself through the air, Reika once again began his attack. This time a series of rapid fire slashes; left, right, left, right, up, diagonal up, diagonal down, low sweep, upward sweep, finally a spinning kick connected to boot Revan out onto the awning. With the wind temporarily knocked out of him, Revan was able to retreat halfway up the staircase before Reika could begin his attack again.

Now outside, the hiss and clash of their lightsabers echoed all around them. Revan, after regaining his breath, flipped over Reika, regaining the offensive, but surrendering the high ground. The two fought all the way up the rest of the staircase before reaching the flat ground of the turret top. Breaking apart, they each retreated a slight ways till there was about 10 feet of space between them. They then began to walk a circle, each stalking the other, waiting for the opportunity to strike. Simultaneously they both cast force lightning, and the two volleys intertwined and stalemated the other. Both men continued to circle each other; all the while continuing their attempts to overpower the other’s lightning and break through. At exactly the same moment, the two men broke off their force attack; with one bolt striking Revan in the chest and another striking Reika on the upper arm.

“You fight well, for a jedi,” Reika commented, slightly out of breath.

“You’re no slouch yourself,” Revan said, wincing slightly from the effects of the force lightning.

“This fighting is pointless,” Reika said, “we should be working together not trying to kill each other.”

“I would rather be dead than work with the likes of you,” Revan said and lunged at Reika saber blazing to continue the onslaught.

Back on Dantooine.

“It’s been a long time…. Revan should’ve been back by now,” Telia said over the comlink to Atton and Canderous, “something must have gone wrong.”

“I know it’s hard waiting Telia,” Canderous said, “but it’s all we can do.”

“Speaking of which,” Telia said, “has anybody seen Bastila?”

Back aboard the Ebon Haw, a solitary female figure checks to see if the coast is clear. Verifying the absence of anyone else there, Bastila Shan slowly moves from her hiding place.

“Looks like I made it without being noticed,” she said, dusting off her jedi robes.

“Almost,” calls a snarling voice right behind her.

Bastila whirled around to see a muscular well-built Taung in full body armor staring her in the face.

“Who are you!?!” Bastila screamed.

“I am Darth Cyvan,” the Taung said, “and you are about to die.”

In one single motion Cyvan raised his hand and crushed Bastila’s lightsaber, leaving her without arms.
Bastila fell, and Cyvan delivered a boot to her gut, kicking down the ship’s entrance ramp.
Coughing up blood, Bastila staggered to her feet and attempted to force push Darth Cyvan away from her. The attack was weak, and did little more than create a small delay in his charge towards her. Abandoning hope of mounting an offensive, Bastila ran for her life away from her approaching assailant. Without thinking, she used the force to hurl anything she could find at Darth Cyvan in an attempt to slow him down.

However, Darth Cyvan would not be deterred from his bloodthirsty attack. He eventually caught up with her. A strong right punch to the side of the face knocked Bastila down once again. Darth Cyvan then held her head in both of his hands, and slammed it into his armored knee, breaking her nose and spilling her blood. He then proceeded to drill the same knee into her stomach and chest multiple times, causing Bastila to moan and cough up blood. As a last ditch effort, Bastila summoned the force to take the lightsaber hanging from Darth Cyvan’s waist and succeeded. Igniting the red blade, Bastila swung at Darth Cyvan, who had already taken out another lightsaber from inside his armor. The two red sabers clashed and Bastila began her attack. She poured her heart, her soul, her everything into her assault, managing to score several hits on Darth Cyvan’s armor.

Cursing her, Darth Cyvan discarded his armor and re-doubled his efforts to subdue Bastila. With his armor off, Bastila stood no chance. Her reserves exhausted, and his energy renewed the fight turned back the other way as the sith lord hammered her viciously, forcing her once again to retreat. The two made their way through the castle, Bastila barely defending herself adequately, Darth Cyvan relentlessly pressing his attack.

Meanwhile, the fight between Lord Reika and Revan had moved down from the turret and into the main castle. Revan, sensing that there was something wrong, realized that he could not fully concentrate on fighting Reika until he had investigated this disturbance. Content to sit on the defensive, Revan countered and blocked Reika’s attacks, without bothering to attempt to regain the offensive. Soon, they found themselves in the hangar bay, where many ships of varying sizes lay docked. The two jumped from ship to ship, never ceasing their fight. Eventually, they made their way onto one of the many catwalks that ran around the hangar. Confined to such a short space, the two men’s attacks became wilder and yet somehow more precise. Soon their blades became nothing more than purple and yellow blurs constantly colliding at all different angles. Down below, Darth Cyvan, unbeknownst to Revan, had pushed Bastila into the hangar and was attacking her with ferocity yet unseen from the sith lord. He became less concerned about fighting and more concerned with hurting Bastila. He cut and slashed at her, creating wounds all over her body. And somewhere in her screaming and crying, Revan finally became aware that she was there.

“Revan,” she shrieked, “Revan help me!”

“Enough toying around,” Reika said, “Darth Cyvan, kill her.”

Upon hearing this, Cyvan kicked his lightsaber out of Bastila’s had and plunged his twin red blades into Bastila’s chest.

“You bastard,” Revan screamed at Cyvan, a pained guttural scream, amplified by the force.

“Never take your eye off the opponent,” Reika laughed coldly as he sent a blast of pure force destruction at Revan who never saw the attack coming until the last minute. It destroyed the catwalk, caused major damage and burns to the area and Revan as well as scarring the left side of Revan’s face. The force of the blast hurled him against one of the docked ships. Battered, defeated, Revan slowly made his way to his feet. On the other side of the room, he could faintly hear Reika saying,

“I grow tired of this place. Come Cyvan, it is time for us to depart.”

Then Lord Reika held out both of his hands and concentrated. His whole body seemed to tense up and then before him, things started to distort. Everything near was pulled inward and began to spin. Matter slowly dissolved and gave way to a small portal roughly as tall as Reika and slightly wider. Without looking back, both master and apprentice stepped into the vortex and were immediately gone from sight. Cursing himself, cursing the two men, and cursing this whole ordeal, Revan slowly made his way over to Bastila’s dead body. Holding her in his arms, and swearing to exact his revenge upon both Darth Cyvan and Lord Reika, Revan got up and carried her out of the castle and into the Ebon Hawk with the aid of the force. Once aboard the ship, he set course for Dantooine, and as the ship left the atmosphere and made the jump to hyperspace Revan put his head down and cried, burying his head and his tears in Bastila’s chest, which would never rise again.

how very evil to kill a memorable jedi woman (Bastila) hmm, this story seems very similar to Sacrifice… poor Mara Jade Skywalker… *cries*

  3. Darth Shiin says:

  4. Darth Shiin says:

i’m now currently reading Darth Bane: Rule of Two right now!
hehe i’m a good jedi but being bad is kinda fun, Shiin, wouldn’t you agree?
i like Darth Bane and Darth Zannah

  7. Darth Shiin says:

Darth Bane is a TOTAL SITH!!!!!!!!! Zannah… well… I only know that she used the force to kill those jedi masters.
IT WOULD FREAK THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME IF DARTH BANE CAME OUT OF THE BUSHES RIGHT INFRONT OF ME!!!!
Being bad is fun only sometimes, it’s kinda funny how other characters (Carth, Bastila, Mission ect.) react when you act badly. Zannah was like, ten when I read about her. I LOVE DARTH BANE: PATH OF DESTRUCTION TOO!!!! I’ve only read the “back” of Rule of Two at Borders. Hoths apprentice sounds determined. I almost cried when Githany died, NOW SHE WAS A GOOD SITH!!!!

  8. Darth Shiin says:

Tell me how number Two is going, will ya?
Rate from 1 to 10, 1 to 5 stars, good, bad, ify ect.

  9. Darth Shiin says:

It also matters when your being bad, like when your playing a woman on #2, when your dark Atton finds it sexy, his kinda creepy that way…

  10. What are you talking about?! Githany tried to kill Bane, she uses people with her beauty and lightsaber whip – she was bad and mean! she’s got style hehe. my dad read it too and likes her. she’s ruthless and cunning but nobody could never date her. Bane saw that but liked her anyway but can’t accept her as a apperentice. so… she goes hasta la bye bye! ( i feel bad for her though)

Atton finds a woman being bad is sexy huh? hmm… HE’S NOT CREEPY! only on the dark side, i stick to the light side
well, i just got started on the book today because of school and all, i haven’t had time to read it, i believe Zannah truly turned to the dark side. since it’s the weekend now, i’m going to try finish it then i’ll rate when i’m done
story starts after Zannah accepts Bane without question to be his apprentice and follows him off Russaan…

  11. “IT WOULD FREAK THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME IF DARTH BANE CAME OUT OF THE BUSHES RIGHT INFRONT OF ME!!!!”
doesn’t everybody? me too, by the way

  12. Darth Shiin says:

    He’s just…
    He’s just kinda…
He’s kinda weird because he’s all, “Nice outfit! Do you miners change uniform regulations?” THAT is creepy, I mean COME ON!!!
    I know you… lik-LOVE Atton… but still… I like Carth better, in my opinion

  13. Darth Shiin says:

    Are you a fast reader?
    I am.
I’M DYING TO GET DARTH BANE 2!!!

Githany is like, beautiful, obviously, and an AMAZING Sith, but she also has traits that normal Sith don’t, like poisining people when your kissing *Laughing*
    Githany is also really clever.
The thought bomb kinda scared me. I mean, our souls would be trapped FOREVER! Kaan is like, a REALLY stupid bastard.
Right from the beggining of Darth Bane: Path of Destruction I knew Des (Bane) was a Sith, it was OBVIOUS.

  14. thought bombs are scary. having your soul trapped in it forever in agonizing pain… yeah, i’ll pass
Githany pretends to be a jedi when she’s actually sith, yeah she’s clever, she uses everyone to get her way. maybe if she didn’t place her faith in the brotherhood of darkness and in bane instead, maybe bane would’ve accepted her
Kaan, the brotherhood are bastards but Hurst(bane’s dad) he started this all, child abuse can lead to crazys these days, you know

  15. Darth Shiin says:

I was read the chapter when Bane (Des) finds out that he killed his dad with the force on an airplane, it took me by HUGE SHOCK. Hust is like, the most drunken, stupid, immature, BASTARD I’ve ever heard, read, seen, or even looked at. No, I mean thought bombs are like… HORRIFYING! Yeah, child abuse can lead to crazy things this day. The night when Hurst died, when Hurst was abusing Bane (Des), sounded REALLY painful.
Hey, they found the marines body, but lets not get into that right now…

  16. Darth Shiin says:

I understand that Zannah has a double-red… Bane looked like, worse than in number 1. Zannahs eyes are all… BLAH. The reason I chose Darth Talion to have a double-purple is because like, ALL Sith lords have single reds, it REALLY pisses me off. Atris is in my series, you actually have already seen her…

  17. Darth Shiin says:

I think Githany actually liked Bane, but she didn’t want to admit it.

  18. MaggOnasi says:

Damn you two talk wayyy too much!
