Author’s Notes: Well, this is it. You’ve made it to the final story in this series. In this story, there are many triumphs, twists, and surprises. I believe the ending is happy. If you don’t agree, get your feelings examined. Anyways, I present to you…Forgiven.

The battle started without a hitch. Bastila fought Revan, and Mission and Visas fought Nihilus. The attacks were quite ferocious on both sides. The battle paused for only a few seconds every couple of minutes or so, continuing after a very short period of time. Confidence clouded no one’s mind, as it would throw them off by distracting them.

Finally, the battle paused for longer than usual. From the other rooms, blasters, sabers, and death cries could be heard. “Revan, you’re growing weary. I can see it in your eyes.” Bastila’s comment to him caused a stroke of anger within him. “You’re the one who lets up a bit in the middle of combat!” he snarled back at her. “Arden,” she said, using his real name to get his attention, “I know you don’t want to do this. It’s not too late. You brought me back from the Dark Side. It’s my job to return the favor. Let me help you.” “Me? A Jedi again? Oh, you’re funny! I will prove to you that the Dark Side is stronger!” He charged at her, but was put in Stasis by her. “Just listen to my words. I want to help you, Arden. I love you…”

While she talked to Arden, Mission and Visas looked at Nihilus with intense hatred. “Weary yet, slave?” he asked Visas, and they presumed he was smiling behind his masked face. “I AM NOT YOUR SLAVE!” Visas yelled at him. “You’re the weakest opponents I’ve ever faced. Especially you, Twi’lek! You wield that lightsaber too clumsily!” Mission put her hands on her hips. “Clumsily?!? I can hold it a lot better than YOUR crazy ass!” she barked back at him. “You can hardly hold it without trying to execute some big attack that throws your balance off!” He hissed at her. “I shall make you pay for your insolence!” Igniting their sabers, the three began combat once more.

Bastila was having tremendous luck in turning Arden back to the Light Side. More and more of him emerged and took control each time he spoke. “…and I don’t wanna have a bunch of guilt on my mind! I’ve been planning to kill you guys all this time. I can’t believe that. I don’t know how I could be forgiven!” Bastila was deep in thought. “Ok,” she finally said, “I think it is safe enough for me to kiss you once more.” And so, she did. She kissed him for a full minute and a half. He embraced her as tight as he could afterwards. “I love you, Bastila. I wanna get out of here as soon as possible.” he told her. She stared at him in awe, and the two watched the battle at hand.

Nihilus was the weary one. He couldn’t stand straight, and so was kneeling on the floor. “How…could I be beaten by two weaklings?!?” he cried in anguish as he fell to the floor. Mission, delivering the coupe de gras, yelled, “FOR RAVENSTRIKE!” Darth Nihilus was finally dead. His head was chopped off. Mission broke down crying. She knew that what she had done was the only option, but it didn’t bring Ravenstrike back. Walking overto Arden and Bastila, she wiped her tears away. “Let’s get outta here!” she proclaimed, and they, including Visas, left the main section of the bridge. They met up with Mical and Mira, who had been victorious in their battle. Not wasting any time, they went to Mandalore, HK, and Carth. They, too, had triumphed in their battle. “Hurry up! We don’t have much time!” Bao-Dur told them over the comm. “We’re on our way!” Carth told him. Boarding the ship, all who had been on the Reformed Ravager in the group and Visas didn’t bother to look back.

As they flew away, the ship mysteriously imploded then exploded, obliterating it completely. They flew home, barely containing their relief and adrenaline rushes. Upon arriving, something seemed…weird. As if…someone had come back from the dead. Mission practically flew to Ravenstrike’s grave. Her heart sunk as soon as she saw that it was opened, presuming graverobbers had come and stolen the body. Running back to the group, she told them what she had seen. They calmed her down, and they entered the house. “Ahhhh…home at last!” said Carth, as he stepped into the doorway and smelled the air as if it had been years since he had been there. Atton and Norris were sleeping, and with good reason. It was ten PM. Everyone soon went to sleep, not knowing that what would await them the next morning would be delightful.

Morning came. Everyone woke up rather early. Mission went to sit on the couch. There, she saw some bedsheets, messed up as if they’d been used the night before. Everyone was mystified the moment they heard of this. It had just gone silent when a voice rang out. “Hey, you guys! Did you miss me?” Mission whirled around quickly. She smiled rather largely when she saw who it was. “Ravenstrike!” she yelled in excitement. She ran up to him and kissed him. “Missed you, Mission.” “How’d…how’d you get back to life?” she asked him, awed. “Well, luckily, I had an old friend help me. Kavar says hi, Norris.” Norris, not knowing how to take this, simply smiled. “Aw, you gave birth AFTER I died? Awww, man. Eh, I’m just messing with you! Come here everyone!” They all got re-associated with him over the next hour. They would then soon be able to relax. Nothing was threatening the Galaxy…for now, at least.

You have finished reading the Betrayal series. I hope you have enjoyed it.

  1. oh good stories! incredible work! bravo! encore! i’m kinda disappointed that Atton and Norris didn’t go there to fight… they would’ve made a great team. but she was pregnant.

yay, Ravenstrike (he’s my favorite character now) isn’t dead and everything is all good again for now. still a good story with a Great ending. you have a good taste for music too and to put them in titles.

kudos for you, Nihilus! hmm, i would give you some idea involving Ravenstrike but i’m having trouble with my stories, sorry!
wait, umm… i recently read the Legacy of the Force series. maybe you can get some idea from reading those.

I get a lot of my inspiration to music, if you’re looking for the answer to the old “Where do you get your inspiration?” question. Lyrics in some of the songs help me get ideas for stories.

Ravenstrike probably won’t meet any grim ends this time around, so you can look forward to that. I don’t currently have a character scheduled for death, but I’m thinking of a couple of potential break-ups. :)
