DEVELOPING: Israeli ground forces began moving across the border into the northern Gaza Strip in an escalation late Saturday night of the weeklong offensive against Hamas.

I think Israel is fed up with these guys saying they want peace, calling a cease fire, then lobbin rockets at them. They finally said enough is enough, and rightly so. I agree with them 100%!
I think it's somewhat ironic tho, that Hamas wants to act so big and tough, but they just shoot rockets off and hope they hit something. It took like 3 days for them to kill 4 people that way. What a bunch of cowardly idiots.
By the way, my dad is over there right now, but he is to the north near the Sea of Galilee. Hopefully he won't have to go anywhere near that mess.

he's on some kind of historic site tour for two weeks. a friend asked him to go with a group. i actually just got an email from him sayin he was fine and really enjoying the trip. B)
yea thats good, no matter what religion you are, everyone should go to israel once in there lives, it is life changing.

Ya, Israel has always had enemies and always will have. If you believe the book of Revelation, tho, there's gonna be one big final battle over there and Israel is gonna kick everyone's butts to kingdom come! B)

ok, little history lesson from Uncle LSM here folks.
after the fall of the Turks, the UN divided that little strip in the Middle East into east and west, much like they did with Germany. Part went to the Jews, part went to the Palestinians. The Jews declared their statehood, and were immediately attacked by the Palestinians. So the Jews fought back. They defeated the Palestinians and captured the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Later they captured another area of land from Syria after Syria and Egypt attacked them. So all this mumbo-jumbo about the Palestinians just wanting their own state.........ya, they had one. they weren't content with that, so they tried to drive the Jews into the Mediteranian and failed.......badly.
History folks, look it up in an encyclopedia. B)
