4. I'm set to resign for another 4 or so years in August if I chose to but I'm turning them down and getting out.

It's not just only the military. This country... it is not the America I swore to protect... and I will not protect a monster. I want out before my superiors begin to tell me that my service is to the United States government and not its people. I want out before the day dawns in which I may have to turn my rifle against my countrymen under the false pretense that I swore to protect this nation against all threats, both foreign... and domestic.
It may or may not happen in my lifetime, but the day is coming.

I know that line from SW E:III about liberty dying to applause was kinda cheesy, but it can be true. Our representatives are cheering as our freedom is stripped away.
