halo lets you get up close and personal with your enemies; KOTOR does not.
halo gets you from objective to objective without having to run around for miles and miles.
halo can be played in 1st person; KOTOR cannot.
All of the halo's have xbox live; KOTOR does not.

halo's storyline is better. but i like to call that one...an opinion 
halo received more positive critical reviews than KOTOR
halo was able to come out with a third one to complete the storyline and trilogy rather than make an rpg. KOTOR was not.
in halo, there are no "turns" in combat. everything is real time. if you wanna attack, there is no waiting your "turn" just blow the hell outta everybody.
in halo you can attack on the ground and in the air: in KOTOR you can only attack on the ground.
I still pick KOTOR over Halo.

It just depend on what you want to do. If you wanna go blast a bunch of enemies, Halo or other first person shooters are designed for that. The KOTOR RPG is a more rounded game, with a lot of decision making and character development.
Personally, I think KOTOR rocks......but that's just me.
In Halo you can not pick to be evil if you want and you can't upgrade weapons or ammor but you can do all that in KOTOR. That is why I pick KOTOR over Halo everytime.
Good point. I love the upgrade options, especially in KOTOR II
Upgrading weapons and armor I will go with KOTOR 2 but game play and story I go with KOTOR 1.

you really dont need to upgrade anything in halo because there are no life points. its more realistic
I like some of the other upgrades tho, like the ones that make your weapon more likely to stun an enemy or stuff like that
