War is gruesome, the sight of it can leave you speechless...

Anybody here seen Private Ryan? That was a great look on War, and also that series that played on History Channel "Brothers in Arms" is very well done.

I have seen and have Saving Private Ryan and it is awesome. The show on the History Channel is Band of Brothers and it is better then Saving Private Ryan I think.

haven't seen Saving Private Ryan yet.

one War film that was really good is that old classic Gary Cooper film Sergeant York. the acting was kinda cheesy, and the battles weren't as intense, but York really got the job done in that film. B)

Some more good war movies are We Were Soldiers, Hamburger Hill, Enemy at the Gate, and the Hunt for Red October. There are many more good war movies but these are some of the best.

Oh, yeah.

By far, the best is Saving Private Ryan. That movie must have cost ALOOOOOOOOOOOOT of money!

Now Civil War movies, There are 3 that come to mind and I think that they are the best. Gettysburg, Andersonville and Glory are my top 3 Civil War movies.

Gods and Generals was a good one too from the South's perspective, but you have to really want to see it cause it's pretty long.
