Re: Question

I never played Resident Evil. Nor Devil May Cry.

Re: Question

I explained poorly.

During the process of RE4 developmental, they ended up making like 4 other games.

So this process is how I’m going through writing process

Re: Question

There's supposed to be a process? Other than major procrastination? tongue

But I get what you mean, this is how my writing list exploded from like one or two fics to a dozen or so. But I feel like I'm doing quite well as I've put one on hold completed two, admittedly gained another by finishing one of those, but at least I now have a definitive order and no outstanding promises or half completed things.

With the exception of the crazy crossover fic that was supposed to be a 4 part one shot and is now as many pairs as I can think of stories for. And has proven I struggle to write Wrex, so I need to play ME for... research purposes.

Re: Question

You know what, my newest one could use a little ME....also, for research purposes.

Want to make a character for my creative outlet?

Re: Question

Sure, any kind of constraints/world details I should be aware of? Also what kind of character details do you require?

Re: Question

I sent this to my friends and family.

Alright, so to give a little context.

I’m asking for you to make a character.  It can be as descriptive as you want, initially. I will later comeback and ask to flesh them out.

But as of right now all I require is: Name, Age, Height, weight, ethnicity, occupation/situation (i.e. Police Officer/College Student), and Blood type, this goes to the zombie aspect of it.

For the backstory, a newer city has been erected in the heartland of America, the population is a little over 175,000. While in its youth, the city is a landmark for technological advancement. Being supported from a pharmaceutical company, most of the businesses, corporations, and locally funded buildings have been influenced by the company.

The general public is celebrating its 1 year anniversary. There is a concert being held in the biggest park. The city is set up from downtown to the north-end in decorations and activities for the night.

While most people will be celebrating. An incident has occurred underneath, a small group of individuals, lead by a discharged military captain, have broken into an underground lab (this whole part was because someone made a character for this) and have accidentally released an unknown substance which started the recently deceased scientists and lab workers to rise from the dead.

Your character can come from a wide range of possibilities. Civilian, a member of the attacking force, a worker for Guardian (the company), or maybe an individual entering the city; such as a member of a rescue op (like once some news leaves after the outbreak), or a person who just so happened to pick a bad night to go to a new place.

Re: Question

Two things,

I agree with Lincoln's famous remarks.

Second I love that message that you sent.

Re: Question

I might have been paraphrasing for Lincoln’s remarks.

You’re just saying that.

You can also make a character for me if you want.

Because I have a bad habit of taking an idea and running with it, I created a pair of sisters.

Veronica "Ronnie" Parsons, 34, 5ft4, skinny, Caucasian, long light brown hair in messy dual plaits, charity/aid worker, blood type either A+ or AB+. Other notes; still believes in helping others, but not easily shocked from what she's seen on the front line of aid work, usually well prepared.

Harriet Parsons, 28, 5ft7, heavier side of normal, Caucasian, shoulder length dirty blonde hair, scientist for Guardian, blood type A+. Other notes; lab worker, good at her job, not sure why but the sisters haven't spoken for some time.

Feel free to take one or both or ignore them entirely. smile

Re: Question

I will take them. And if you want. I’m giving the people partial creative control of their character. It’s a weird and wild experiment that I’m attempting. Lol basically I’m DM’ing my own story with character that I partially have total control over.

But I have an estimated 36 stories going on at once. And that’s what I want to do. I’m trying to run multiple character stories at once, and have people cross paths, as long as it makes sense.

Re: Question

I thought my list was crazy long, but I think that's because none of them are really linked. Six are different fanfic projects, three are original worlds of which one is already a trilogy (but because of NaNoWriMo 2018 a good chunk of the world is already created) and another is a two parter I've kinda stitched together but might get torn apart again... Oh, and I forgot the one I put on hold. And that list doesn't include the ones I write for my own personal amusement.

I need less plot bunnies.

And I don't mind, I'm happy to have input on how I've vaguely envisioned the characters, but equally if you want to run with them as you see fit then go for it. Just don't make either a wildly incompetent damsel in distress the whole time. Don't mind if either needs saving or is out of their depth occasionally, just not the whole time. smile

Re: Question

It’s very inspired by Resident Evil, strong women characters are kinda half the games.

I try to have ‘damsel’ transcend gender. But, I generally try to organically get people in trouble and they have to use their own intelligence and merits to get out. Generally.

Re: Question

Tbf I doubted you'd do that to them, but it is just the one thing I don't want to happen to them. I don't mind if they win/lose/die/survive/mess up/betray/unite/other tropes so long as their strengths and flaws are kind of balanced.

Oh man. I just reread. Scientist for guardian. Her job just became the most dangerous career in the world rn.

I never said I'd make their odds of survival good. Hell, for all I know she doesn't survive the first chapter.

Re: Question

I haven't forgotten about my Revan based fic. It's just proving a lot more difficult to write than I anticipated. I have half a plot in my head, I'm just struggling to get the damn thing going. Screw it, roget writing in it chronological order I'm getting the scenes I know down and filling the gaps... So long as I edit it properly it should make sense by the end. :S

Re: Question

I listen to music and I create scenes that are completely separate from any ideas I may currently have. Makes thought process confusing.

Re: Question

I used to be like that, but my thoughts have become a noisy place due to law school. So I work in silence mostly. Alcohol helps in these trying times lol.

Re: Question

Thanks to a period at uni where I listened to everything via fan made YouTube videos I have a tendency to make music videos in my head based on whatever characters are flavour of the month.

I think the problem with the Revan thing is that it's going to deal with some... unpleasant issues and I want to do it well. And I haven't played the game for... a long time. Maybe that's the solution? How long do you reckon I can whiz through KOTOR in?
