Topic: Thunderbirds Are Go!

So they remade Thunderbirds...

And having said that, they aren't doing as bad of a job as I expected (I still remember the 2004 film with horror). There's a few things that are annoying me, a few things I like, but overall I think they're doing a half decent job.

So I was wondering if anyone else had been watching it and what they thought?

Re: Thunderbirds Are Go!

I remember very little of that movie and I heard that they were talking about it but I have not watched any of it.

Who is making the new Thunderbirds?

Re: Thunderbirds Are Go!

Don't watch the 2004 movie. That's all I'll say.

I know ITV are airing the new series, and I know that the New Zealand company Weta Workshop are doing the effects - which are a strange mix of CGI and real models -, and if I remember correctly Weta were involved heavily in the effects for the LotR film series.
Having just checked it is ITV studios who are making it with help from a couple of other studios.

I must admit to not knowing when it's getting shown elsewhere, I foolishly forgot that these companies feel the need to have different release dates. Presumably due to 'exclusivity deals' or some nonsense.

That does seem strange to have a mix of CGI and real models but I guess they seen how good the star wars movies that they remade had the same combo and they did a pretty good job with the same combo.
