Sith don't always win. Remember Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Or Revan who turned back to light and defeated Malack (by canon) or the Exile, who defeated the Sith Lords while being on the light side (by canon). Obi-Wan who killed Darth Maul. and there are many other examples in the Star Wars universe. You never can't say always.
Maybe but look at all the examples of the jedi saying that they have killed the last of the Sith and then the Sith return with a vengence.
And when Sith kill all the Jedi, they somehow return and bring balance to the Force again... It goes in circles. It never ends xD
True because you can not have the lightside with the Darkside and you can not have the Darkside without the lightside.
Yoda could have ended the war by killing Dooku in the hanger instead of saving Anikan and Obi Wan from getting crushed. But he didn't because he was weak and a jedi and in turn many more jedis and soldiers died because of that act.
What really bugs me is he didn't need to stop the thing from falling. All he really had to do was push it to one side or the other and then keep fighting Dooku. *head desk* Ah, George! You're characters are slaves to your plot!!!

Yoda could have killed Dooku and ended the war but had NO chance on deffeating the Emperor to stop the Sith.
If he and Mace could have joined forces, they could have taken Palpatine...alas, what could have been.

you noticed that palps couldnt stand up to yoda in a fair lightsaber fight. thats why he kept throwiing stuff at him. coward.
Sith use everything that they can to win the fight and if yoda could not stand up against those odds then he sould have taken his ball and went home and in the end that is what he did. 
I think Yoda threw that fight. He could handle anything Palp could throw at him (literally), but when he lost his lightsaber he just gave up.

Let's not classify all Sith in the same group as Palpatine please. He creeps me out. Like seriously.

Well, not exactly... Haha.
What I really was thinking was that Yoda threw the fight in the same way a football team throws a game by not executing their plays. Like if a team fumbles the ball every time they get it, you'd pretty much say they threw the game. Not that they wanted the other team to win, but they didn't do anything to stop them.
Same with Yoda. He never went on offense. Yeah he threw a few force pushes, but you never see the kind of killer attacks that it would take to bring down Palpatine. Not like the kind Mace was using in his fight.
Of course, maybe that's due to the whole Ataru/spinning/flipping style of fighting. But I'm just saying I didn't see Yoda put his head in the game in this fight. Not like when he took down those clones earlier in the movie. I dunno, maybe his ears got in the way.

A little offense is necessary. I researched some medieval European sword fighting techniques. It's actually not that different from Easter martial arts. But the European mindset in a fight was "ALWAYS ATTACK!" If you're always on the defense, eventually you'll miss a block and lose your head. If you have to block, do it in a way that let's you counter attack quickly, or leverage the sword and hit your opponent at the same time that you are defending.
That's what Yoda needed.
