Xam: Perhaps now would be a good time to tell you that my blades are usually coated in exotic toxins and poisons.

Xam readies a smoke grenade whilst Shab uses her visor to scan for Darcott's heat signature. Before taking aim to catch him whilst he darts to a different cover, she hits him and he loses his balance.

Just before Shab took the shot, Xam tosses in the smoke grenade to help hide it, and both girls take advantage of it and found themselves new cover.

Nei drops to Sara Jane and draws on her own Force reserves and reaches out to allow the Force to flow over Sara Jane, rejuvenating the girl and moments later she wakes with a start. Nei places a calming hand on Sara Jane's shoulder to prevent her injuring herself with such a sudden, sharp movement.

Shab takes a deep breath as she pulls on the Mandalorian training her father gave her to withstand interrogation techniques, and as her mind clears she grabs one of her blasters and fires a shot at Darcott, enough to disable the Force technique that was holding them.

As Shab dives to cover Xam flicks one of her concealed knives at Tamos, nicking him before using the chain to bring the knife back to her waiting hand, before darting out of their line of sight.

==========

Nei: I doubt it, I'm nothing special. *pauses as she looks at Sara Jane* Yes, she is powerful, and it might be your wish to take her to the council, but does she not get a say?

Xam: Well honey we have both a Jedi and Sith base here on Junkka, I see both frequently, too frequently for it to be a novelty enough to narrow down just one for you. *pauses, as if looking to Shab for an extra opinion, she shrugs* But a dog is a little less common. I've seen a couple of humans with such pets today, even an Ithorian who seemed rather taken by the cute little thing... But they don't strike me as the type of specimen that two fine gentlemen such as yourself would be seeking...  However I did see a Shistavanen earlier

==========

Nei: Well I guess that's gonna depend on what you intend to do. *gestures to the now sleeping Venrii* Forgive me, but you haven't presented the best impression so far.

Shab: No.

As she turns back to Xam she signs one simple word - talk - making it look like she's requesting the datapad back. Xam gives it her and turns to the two men with the sweetest smile she is capable of. Shab meanwhile subtly repositions herself to watch them whilst using the datapad to hack into the security systems.

Xam: What kind of pet were you thinking? We've crossed paths with many people today, including furry ones. I'm sure we could help you.

She leans on the crate next to her, leaning just enough to emphasis her femininity, distracting them. All the while exuding pheromones, hoping that if she keeps them talking long enough they'll fall under her sway enough for her to persuade them to leave.

==========

Nei turns to Venrii, wary of his claws and how near to both him and Sara Jane she is.

Nei: If you'll allow me to wake her, I believe she will be able to speak for herself.

Nei stays very still as she looks between the two men, but poised to rejuvenate Sara Jane if Venrii grants permission.

Xam: Looks like they ran out of entertainment at the docks.

Shab: How do you want to handle this?

Xam: After what I've seen they're capable of, I'd rather avoid a confrontation, but Junkka can only handle so much destructive behaviour.

They make their way to a selection of crates and Shab pulls out a datapad so that they can pretend that they're looking over a shipping manifest, hopefully keeping them out of the way until they can determine the intentions of the two men.

==========

Nei involuntarily steps towards Sara Jane at the sudden appearance of Nitsua on the ship. Instantly alert for any sense that she might be about to get shipped back to the Jedi without her agreement, and subconsciously wanting to protect Sara Jane from also have her path decided for her.

Omg, you're alive! I was starting to worry. tongue And those shifts sound brutal. sad

Shab watches as both men leave, via very different methods, before heading back to the cantina to have a word or three with Xam.

Xam: You didn't pay me for the last information.

Shab: You didn't give me any information, we were interrupted, remember?

Xam: You still want to know about the jobs?

Shab: Not quite, I want you to track down their sponsors. *tosses the datapad she offered before back onto the bar* Please. *turns to leave*

Xam: *takes the datapad and stares at it for a moment* I'd stay away from the docks for a while.

Shab stops turning and looks at the falleen, even with her face obscured by the envirosuit it's clear she's expecting Xam to follow up on that. Xam sighs as she puts the datapad away and pours them both a drink.

Xam: Those two kids who decided to argue with a Force-sensitive, I sent them to the docks with a message. Thought to keep them out of Force trouble, turns out that that got them deeper into it. *finishes drink*

Shab: What did you do?

Xam: I didn't do anything. They went with a message, they were ambushed by a dark-Jedi and some other guys, from what I could tell they all got out alive on the ship, but those guys were all but trashing the dock in a rage because of it. They've killed every security guard they've dared send.

Shab: *curses and makes some rude gestures in Ubese, before taking the drink as a full shot into the suit* Come on, you're pretty much security, you can help me get my ship back.

Xam: But-

Shab: You really think your sponsors will want their profit margins interrupted by an angry Sith?

Xam considers this before realising Shab is right, and making a rude gesture of her own before both women head towards the docks to try and find a solution, violent or otherwise.

Nei: A dock on Junkka or elsewhere to try and get the credentials altered? And if it's the former do you want me to wake Sara? I have been trained in Force healing, I should be able to get her fighting fit.

788

(328 replies, posted in Star Wars Fan Fiction)

Nei: I would hazard a good guess that the shock wave was Sara. Regardless, if we are going back, is it possible to stall long enough between getting docking clearance and docking to enable this guy to meet us? That gives us a five verses two scenario, even if all we have to do is get him aboard. Assuming of course you don't plan to just shove us out an airlock and we can depart once in relative safety?

Nei reaches to the collar of her robe and pulls it down far enough to reveal her scarred neck.

Nei: My voice was taken from me when my home was attacked. If I'm honest, I don't really like the tech, it feels uncomfortable - like a tingle - at the back of my neck. But it has it's uses.

She releases her collar as she thinks.

Nei: The affinity for the Force that Sara showed, and completely untrained, it's almost unheard of...

(328 replies, posted in Star Wars Fan Fiction)

Nei: He said with, not that you were. Not that it's my concern. *pauses* However those men will have your ship name and ID, if you try and redock on Junkka they will be able to trace you. So either we need a plan to fight, or a plan on what to do instead.

The other two briefly share a look and Nei realises that she doesn't know any names, and that if either of them opt for fighting, they're going to need to know everyone's skills.

Nei: I'm Nei. And did that girl know she could use the Force?

791

(328 replies, posted in Star Wars Fan Fiction)

Nei automatically starts signing her reply, before realising at least one of the ragtag group is looking at her as if she might be about to spring another attack. So she stops and pulls the small earpiece that connects to a small implant near the base of her skull & fits over her right ear. The voice is clearly synthetic, and whilst practical Nei doesn't really like the tech.

Nei: The girl is fine, she's just exhausted. As to why I'm here, I was passing the hangar when I heard the fight. *pauses as she considers the rest* The Jedi have trained me in the force for the last six years or so. I believe it is your turn to offer some similar information.

Nei drops to Sara Jane and checks her pulse before pushing some of her Force energy into the girl to provide enough rejuvenation for her to regain consciousness.

Nei sees the other human girl wave at her, and she considers her options quickly. Just before she can make her decision she sees the massassi man look at the entrance to the ship,as she sees him grin sardonically she reacts by using the Force to throw him into the dark Jedi, then sprints towards the ship.

(Hopefully this is the last full post not part of the story)
Ah. But Nei was trying to break up both pairs of fight, so it was one of Tamos/Kraven and one of Dacrott/Venrii. Unless I got confused who was fighting, which I didn't think I had. If you wish to change either one from my jumping the gun choice then feel free. But it's the one in each pair a force user "can sense the most darkness in".

Apparently, I'd say I like irony, but I don't think it's irony. Also I gave you a chance to pick who went in the whirlwinds, but you didn't take it, so I'll move it on to give us something to work with. tongue
==========

Nei tightens her fist as she feels Tamos resisting her application of the force, before twisting her other hand to send Dacrott flying to the side of the hangar so she can concentrate on Tamos.

Nei found that hiding was relatively easy, her Jedi robes by now were dirty, smudged and torn, so she simply looked like many of the poorer space workers and so didn't stick out if she stuck to the sidelines. So sneaking out of the cargo bay she'd stowed away on was as easy as sneaking in.

She tried to make her way out of the docks - unaware of what planet or station she was on - but was distracted by sounds of fighting from one of the hangars she was trying to pass-by.

She ducked down behind some crates where she could get a look, and saw two pairs of men fighting, one with lightsabres the other two canine men fighting with their teeth and claws. She doesn't need to rely on lightsabre colours to tell what side of the force they fell upon, and whilst she might have left the Jedi behind them, she hadn't done so to avoid doing good.

So she closes her eyes and draws a deep breath as she channels that familiar feeling within her to control the force. As she fixed on the power she opened her eyes and twisted her hands to create two force whirlwinds trapping the half in each fight she could sense the most darkness in.

Weapon: Usually a blade, but currently unarmed.
Appearance: 5ft8, dark blonde hair falling over her pale face, hiding her grey eyes.

Ship: N/A
Class: Jedi Padawan

Shab: *chuckles* Such self-righteousness on something you profess to know nothing about. Tell me, is that why so many Jedi fall to the dark side?

==========

Xam: This was never about screwing him over, dear, just distracting him. And why are you asking me? I make no claims to be any sort of moral compass, what you do should be what you want to do. There are no obligations. *pauses* Though I would recommend at least saving your friend.

Shab: You think most bounties are posted with real names?

==========

Xam: No, I just wanted him distracted from his friend's mission. *pauses* But armed thugs could've worked.

Xam moves from the bar to the back room where she can access the security footage from a terminal. It doesn't take her long to recognise and analyse.

Xam: Oh hello boys. The one fighting your friend is experienced and strong, but your friend has better agility, he can win by outmaneouvering him, but not face on. The one fighting Kraven leaves his left side wide open more often than not.

Shab: Then I apologise for dealing with that thug rather than letting you have all the fun.

Whilst she talks Shab carefully notes the fact that the turrets didn't open fire when the man shot, even if the Jedi blocked it.

Shab: I'll have to have a talk to find out who posted the jobs, before I try and take another that turns out to be a lark that gets me killed. *pauses and turns to Nitsua* But first, who are you and why are you protecting him?
