"It's a little late for that Master," Jason replies. "We've been engaged for the last hour! The last of the transports are almost away. We're clearing a path for them. I'll get us out of here as soon as the last civilian vessel has made the hyperspace jump."

Switching comms he says, "Kade, the Jedi are aware of what's going on. I've been ordered to stand down."

"Great timing," Kade's voice crackles through the headset. "Get your tail clear, I can handle this."

"To blazes with my orders, I can't leave you here," Jason replies. "I'll be here till the last ship leaves!"

Another exploding droid showers his ship with shrapnel.

"You sure that's a good idea?" Kade says.

"What are they going to do, kick me out of the order for helping defenseless civilians?" Jason laughs. "Now lets get this route clear!"

The last two of the transports were almost far enough from the planet's faltering gravitational pull to make the jump, but the Mandalorians were still coming...

....Meanwhile...

The sizzling heat of the saber and blinding light of the blade make Alek back away. The bond had snapped. Or had she cut it? Was there something Revan was hiding from him. He looked at her wild, terrified eyes. He had never seen her this bad before.

"Revan? It's me."
