haven't seen Saving Private Ryan yet.

one War film that was really good is that old classic Gary Cooper film Sergeant York. the acting was kinda cheesy, and the battles weren't as intense, but York really got the job done in that film.  B)

wonder what was with that dude that tried to say that the Ebon Hawk was his on Nar Shadda in KOTOR II. I liked the response, "If you couldn't hold on to it, you don't deserve to own it."  B)

i don't know about that issue, but one thing i've discovered playin this on the PC is that you can rotate the camera around to find an angle that doesn't require as much processing and it'll smooth the graphics out. B)

The mmo is about the old republic, not the knights of the old republic. the story is set to take place 300 years after Revan and the Exile disappeared. it's a time when the Sith Empire has been resurrected and taken control.

apparently, there are going to be options for choosing either Sith or Republic sides in addition to light or dark sides. So you could potentially have a character on the side of the Sith that is a lightsider, etc.

I do think that they went a little over board on KOTOR II with just how cryptic everyone was. it was a good plot, but i don't think it held the same suspense as the other game did despite the gamer writers efforts.

Agreed. But i think that is because the characters hadn't leveled up enough by that point. by the time you face malak, you've got some serious experience under your belt. B)

hehe, that just shows how far iraq has come in the past couple years. can you imagine what woulda happened to that guy if he'd had the nerve to throw a shoe at Saddam?! he'd have been dead within five minutes.

Hehe, that's pretty bad. wonder if that'll motivate them to really make some changes?

Boise St. lost their bowl game.......... I was really disappointed in that. I had hoped they'd really rock TCU out of the arena. oh well, next year........ big_smile

Renedel: VISAS!!!!!

*Renedel raises one of his lightsabers above his head and slams it to the earth. A blinding force shockwave knocks them all back, white light searing their eyes. By the time Jester and Atrox are able to see again, both Renedel and Visas are gone. The shock of the force waves begins to crumble the tunnel supports.*

*Renedel stumbles thru a passageway blindly, holding Visas' limp body.*

Jester: Tarren, Why did you join the war? I want the truth and not that jedi council bullshit.

Tarren: The Mandalorians must be stopped. They have crossed the line by invading the Republic. I know the Mandalorian way of thinking; their only objective in doing this is to test their own strength against ours. They do not care for the millions of lives that will be lost. I do. The Republic is divided and weak and cannot withstand this attack. Their best attempts to defend themselves will only cost time and lives. The Jedi must lead this war and unite the troops if we are to defeat the Mandalorians.

I am afraid, tho, that the Mandalorians will not admit defeat until we have dealt them such a terrible blow that they will never recover. But if that is what it takes to save the Republic from their kind, then I will do what I must.

(Daan re-enters)

Daan: I have made contact with Master Skai. He says he will contact you when you reach Taris, but that he is unable to meet you there at this time.

Tarren: Well, so be it. Let's go then.
