Anything Transformers is cool. Hell, if the Decepticons weren't such cowards, they'd be pretty awesome and bad ass as well. That's the one thing that has irked me about the entire franchise. Throughout the entire plot the Decepticons were always such... well, they were all p***ies basically. And it pissed me off. They gave bad guys a bad name.

Granted it was originally a children's show and all, but when Transformers began its climb to reach more mature audiences they should have considered toughing up their bad guys. Seriously. Henchmen are cowardly. The Big Bad Villain should not be cowardly.

I, for one, enjoy the Big Bad Villain of the stories I write to be the magnificent bastard sort. He is bold, charismatic, independent, and audacious. He is brilliant and utterly devious, to an almost breathtaking, mind-boggling degree. Call it genius, call it virtual omniscience, but he always seems to know what everyone else is planning at any given moment, and exactly how to arrange the game so he wins every time.

He is a smooth operator. He always knows exactly what to say to position you where he wants you, always has a backup strategy and never loses his cool. Even if on the remote chance something happens that wasn't in his plans, you'd never know it from his actions.

He has a goal, he's not going to stop until he's completed it...whatever it is. To that end he will do almost anything. He'll move heaven and hell, and we want to see him succeed. Despite his choice of tactics, he is rarely if ever pointlessly cruel, and has a reason for everything he does.

He is charismatic, often charming, his personality like a physical force. People tend to like him, sometimes even when they know he isn't on their side, and even those who hate his guts have to admit respect. Even when at his darkest, he has traits which one can't help but admire.

He is the type of man who captures the entire audience with his charisma, incredible intellect, mastery of manipulation, and boldness of action. He is the show-stealer, demanding your reverence at every turn. And you just love to hate him. That, my friends, is a villain.

(YAY for Starr's random rants! ^_^)

I agree.

I'll be the life of the campus. I assure you. wink XD

I know that line from SW E:III about liberty dying to applause was kinda cheesy, but it can be true. Our representatives are cheering as our freedom is stripped away.

As long as they get their paycheck they don't give a damn what this country becomes.

I don't think there will be any Jedi or Sith playable characters, actually. I mean, sure it's awesome to be able to wield the Force and everything but if you think about it, it is a little overused. And by a little, I mean a lot. I think Lucasfilm is finally trying to give us a game where your character is ordinary... or at least, starts off that way.

Bounty hunters have the potential to be just as deadly and efficient as Force users, after all. Jango Fett faced off with Obi-Wan and managed to, not only, get away but also almost sent Obi-Wan to a watery grave (the Mandalorian's death was weak writing on George Lucas's part... -_-). Boba Fett faced off with Darth Vader of all people and survived. Hell, the man was swallowed by a bloody sarlacc and the damned thing spit him out! Not to mention countless other stories of epicness...

And if you think about it, Boba Fett was able to wield lightsabers without being able to harness the Force (he was a clone after all...). I think we're looking at the first console Star Wars game that is a true blue RPG as in we will be able to pick our own race and, hopefully, have another free roam world and be able play through the game at our own pace such as with KotOR and KotOR II. I think we're also looking at a heavy concentration on regular ranged and melee SW combat as opposed to Force powers and lightsabers.

Now, this doesn't mean that your character won't have other awesome abilities to make up for the fact that they lack Force potential. And I'm pretty sure at some point in the game your character will finally be able to wield lightsabers (though they may not be able to block incoming fire seeing as they, again, lack the Force). This is all just speculation of course, but considering that this is a " never-before-seen dark and mature world" Lucasfilm is obviously trying out new possibilities.

I rest my case. smile

It would be cool to be a female assassin tho but I can't wait to see how Desmand's story ends. It is also good to see that they are bring AC 3 to the states and the whole runing and swinging in trees are just sweet as hell. I have had AC 3 on reserve since day one and even got 1 of the first collector cases for AC 3. Did anyone else get one?

I DID! Ordered it the first day I could! ^_^

I never imagined Starr would get out of the military. But Starr, what did you mean when you said that the military is not what it used to be?

It's not just only the military. This country... it is not the America I swore to protect... and I will not protect a monster. I want out before my superiors begin to tell me that my service is to the United States government and not its people. I want out before the day dawns in which I may have to turn my rifle against my countrymen under the false pretense that I swore to protect this nation against all threats, both foreign... and domestic.

It may or may not happen in my lifetime, but the day is coming.

Hell no! I didn't notice this post or I would have said something earlier. I am super excited about the new AC! It's gonna be the best one yet! ^_^

There's only one downfall... Connor is not as cute as I thought he was going to be. I'm a little disappointed. I don't like playing guy characters I don't think are cute but oh well, I'll get over it. I mean it's AC 3. That more than makes up for it. And I won't see his face a lot. lol tongue

Yeah. There's always that one bad actor that makes you really hate the whole movie... unless they die. The damage will have still been done but at least you'll feel like you got a little bit of vengeance. wink

And as far as live-action movies go, I could actually live without one. All I'm asking for is a really great animated movie. I've seen what Bioware can do with the TOR trailers' animation so let's see them make a movie using the same stuff. And let's see if Bungie or 343 Industries can top it. Hell, I know Bungie can probably top it. Did you see their Halo Wars trailer? That s**t was bad ass.

True... but not all of them turn out that way. Take Bungie as an example... if they could make numerous kick ass live-action trailers for nearly all their Halo games, a live-action movie that blows everything out of the water should be no problem at all. And if they collaborate with 343 Industries... it just adds icing to an already awesome cake.

Granted of course, Bungie may not have much say in the Halo movie (if there ever is one) but honestly they really should. They've proven they know what they're doing.

Same goes for Bioware. Their TOR trailers? The most badass, realistic looking animation I've seen. I'm actually disappointed in this Dragon Age movie all things considered. I realize that the company which made it didn't work with Bioware to produce it more than likely and that that animation style is considered "hip" and all, but honest-to-God hardcore fans would have preferred Bioware to have a hand in it and have a Dragon Age movie that resembles the animation seen in their TOR trailers.

But like I said, the movie is worth watching... for the storyline at least.
