Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

Well immediately, Ubisoft has set out to create a Star Wars game.

To be one with the force, you must be one with yourself.

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

The only Unisoft came I can immediately think of is Rayman.  lol

Assassins creed

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

Never played the Assassins Creed games... I keep meaning to get around to the ancient Greek one, but... life. It gets in the way.

“Life”

Best quote I’ve seen.

To be one with the force, you must be one with yourself.

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

I really want to post more now, but I don't think many of my other enlightened (heavy sarcasm) observations make sense out of context or when sober. lol

Eh. I’m always ready for a good convo or random ramblings.

To be one with the force, you must be one with yourself.

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

I'll have to try and remember some then. lol

Also, I've just noticed the Roman numerals in the thread title are wrong. 9 is IX not VIIII...

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

Permanently sober one here so not much of a problem here.

It’s, uh, called stylization.

To be one with the force, you must be one with yourself.

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

Yeah I messed up on the roman numerals but look how long it took you to notice. lol

I can't decide if that's an ultimate level of nefarious or not...

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

So after not being on here for the entire sequel trilogy... I hated them! lol

And not just The Rise of Skywalker, but The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, too! I hate them!

I was not a fan of them at all, despite seeing all of them in theaters. The plot was a jumbled mess, partly because they had two different directors, but mostly because they never planned out the trilogy. Liked Daisy Ridley and the soundtrack, that was about it - such wasted potential.

They seem to be doing well with The Mandalorian and the animated stuff, however, so there is that.

Wake up. You were dreaming. What's your name?

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

Okay that GIF is actually making me re-evaluate my opinion on whether or not Hayden Christensen can act. XD

I actually liked most of the new characters, the problem was that it just felt like they never really got to develop properly because they relied too heavily on the fan service to the originals. Let's be real Episode VII was just a rehash of Episode IV. And it felt like they could've done so much more with Fin but just... didn't.

Kind of spoiler: Also the ignominy of Admiral Ackbar's end... How. Dare. They.

Plus the casino planet. I mean, it looked cool, but what was the point?

Also I was going to make a joke about Poe stealing Carth's jacket before remembering it's probably just a flight suit.  lol

Re: Star Wars VIIII The Rise of Skywalker

I agree with Hovoth but 1 movie I did enjoy was Rogue One because it was a good go in between episode 3 and 4. HOWEVER I did not like the CGI Princess Leia because you could tell that was all fake.

I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be a social justice statement, but it pulled me out of the Star Wars universe because it looked like a casino/horse derby in Kentucky or something, lol. Additionally, it was too off the track and the 'contact/mole' they were supposed to meet definitely should have been Lando or something, but... wasted potential. I think I hated The Last Jedi more than any of the other three.

Rogue One was actually pretty good, has traditional and classic Star Wars vibes.

Also, Jyn Erso.  wink

I had completely forgotten there was a mole they were supposed to be meeting... lol Also you're right about the horse race thing.
