Re: The Ending

I didn'y say that the second ones in the series were bad, just that the ones on either side are "Usually" better. I think Two towers was agood movie but The Fellowship and Return of the king were much better. And I agree that a good exeption is Star Wars. I think that 2 is much better than 1.

i agree

Re: The Ending

Ending was terrible story line terrible. would rate this game a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's like having The Empire Strikes back without Darth Vader, Han Solo, Luke and the rest. I think someone really had there heads up there ass who ever wrote second game.

Only thing that good came out of it Canderous becomes Mandalore. But should of had Revan and all the old gang on the Hawk for the second one to be even respectable.

Re: The Ending

Yes I was disapointed when you weren't revan. And the fact you didnt get to meet him. Just learn he disapearred and no-one knows where.

Re: The Ending

I actually liked the way they explained Revan. Someone with a mask. Someone with something to hide. A normal force user posing as a Sith lord. Revan was the heart of the force man. Off battling some distant foe that noone knows about and going off to join him in his battle. I think it was pulled off nicely.

Do not fear death. Death is all around us. If we show fear it jumps at us faster than lighting, but, if we do not show fear, it casts it's eye upon us gently and guides us slowly into infinity.

Re: The Ending

But you don't get to interact with him sad Unless you count the bit on korriban.

Re: The Ending

lol But that's the point, you'll be twice as happy to see him in III.

Re: The Ending

Re: The Ending

The ending wasn't what I was expecting...That makes the game a good one though...I liked the ending, but it made me sad to see that a cool game ends...And one thing that I didn't like about the ending is that Kreia couldn't tell me about the Droids and Bao-Dur's Future...I would have loved to know what is going to happen to HK-47...

The game was cool, I liked it more than KotOR 1...

Re: The Ending

 I think that Kotor 2's stories were much better by comparison.

Do not fear death. Death is all around us. If we show fear it jumps at us faster than lighting, but, if we do not show fear, it casts it's eye upon us gently and guides us slowly into infinity.

Re: The Ending

I respect your opinion. Kotor pleases each to their own.

Re: The Ending

<Vigilante> Canderous, please don't swear.</vigilante>

KotOR II definitely had a more original storyline. The ending was, admittedly, rather choppy, but it got across most of the ideas that they wanted to portray. Even choppy, it was emotionally evocative. So it's definitely high on the good-writing scale. The lack of twistiness was a bit depressing, but if they'd managed to get the A-a-T storyline up and running that would have been excellent.

However, KotOR I gave the emotional rush with the awesome twist. And it was a lot more cheerful fun. Everything was alive and cheerful; the party was invincible unless you were dark side. It started to darken on Korriban, and after the twist, and the Forge confrontations were heart-wrenching no matter the characters' stats.

(Besides, Episode II is technically number 5. And The Empire Strikes Back is excellent, so the theory doesn't quite work. big_smile)

/needlessly wordy post

Re: The Ending

Star wars doen't count because of the way it was presented to the public. Two Trilogies so far apart has never happened before if I remember correctly.

Kotor 2's side stries were much more original to the first, in my opinion only it seems. That's why I appreciated Kotor 2 as much as Kotor 1.

Perhaps it was needlessly wordy. Sorry bout that. I probably could have gotten the point across in one sentence.

Do not fear death. Death is all around us. If we show fear it jumps at us faster than lighting, but, if we do not show fear, it casts it's eye upon us gently and guides us slowly into infinity.

Re: The Ending

My mom says that she thinks that Revan and Exile are brothers. They have some things in common. Most of the selections for KOTOR 2 faces are the same as KOTOR 1, but slightly altered. the Exiles life was turned around all by Revan, so maybe they have some kind of Relation.
