As Vector reaches the stairs to the Academy, he stops and turns, glancing back at the garden walk. Sara disappears around the corner. Vector walks up the stairs and into the Academy.

Vector enters the weapons training room and begins putting on the combat equipment. Just then another Jedi enters.

Vector: "Yi'Shar, you're here early."

Yi'shar: "I decided to try some new warm up techniques before training."

Vector: "Alright. Come get me when you're ready."

I Am Jedi

Vector enters the practice arena, and begins warming up with a vibroblade. Working through several blocking stances and attacks, he suddenly senses a disturbance. Momentary, brief, but for an instant Vector sensed the emotion and turmoil in Sara. Then it was gone.

Shaking his head, Vector returns to his practice. Soon, Yi'shar enters.

"I'm ready master."

"Alright, here are the low-beam practice sabers. Take your stance there."

Vector and Yi'shar take up their stances opposite each other, then begin the combat. For several minutes, the two spar and test each other. Then, at one moment, Yi'shar missteps and Vector knocks his saber from his hand.

Vector reaches down to him. "Remember, after a low attack, always watch the guard. Be fast getting back to your position, or you'll lose your head."

The two continue training for some time, then finally complete the exercise.

"Well done, Yi'shar" Vector remarks. "You're making good improvement. Come with me, I want to talk to you about something."

I Am Jedi

Vector explains to Yi'shar about his plan to leave.

"But master, we can't join the Sith!" exclaims Yi'shar.

"Who said anything about joining them? We're taking a leave of absence and using the time to find out if the rumor is true or not. We might even be able to put a stop to the whole thing before it ever gets started."

Yi'shar thinks about this, "I don't know, master. I'm not sure we should do this without the council's knowledge."

Vector puts his hand on Yi'shar's shoulder. "I know what you are thinking. We are about to follow the path to the darkside, and fall into the evil devices of the Sith. But Yi'shar, we have to discover the truth for ourselves. What kind of Jedi would we be if we took everyone's word at face value. This is a chance to find out the truth about the Sith and the darkside once and for all."

Vector looks deeply into Yi'shar's eyes. "Don't worry, young one. i'm not going to fall prey to some Sith lord and set out to conquer the galaxy. Quite the opposite, i want to stop them. But I need to know for myself what is going on and what is right."

Yi'shar, "I'll go with you, Master Farr. *smiling* The three of us should be able to stand against any Sith Lord, new or old"

Vector, "Good man. Get what you need for the trip, i'll go find Sara."

They both leave the training area, and Vector heads out to find Sara.

I Am Jedi

"Sara?"

Vector comes up besider her. "I spoke with Yi'shar, and he'll be coming with us. I already had my equipment sent to the docking bay......."

Looks intently at Sara, studying her, "Somethings wrong, what happened? I've never felt you so angry before.........Was it one of the other Jedi?"

I Am Jedi

Vector looks at her as she walks away, then hurries to catch up with her. Her pace is quick, and he notices her contenance and demeanor.

Quietly, he says, "I don't know what happened back there, but it's alright."

They continue walking. Trying to find some conversation to ease the tension, Vector continues, "I'm glad you're coming. We haven't shared a mission together in more than two years. You've grown a lot since then, and in more than just the Force. .......I just wanted to say that, I hope I can earn your trust. I don't expect you to just give it to me, I want to earn it."

I Am Jedi

"Kill them before they realized what happened." Cratus commanded as he lifted his hand to kill a few knights and a master. He pulled his lightsaber, a classis green blade, and jumped forward to the jedi, slaughtering the slavers.

They arrive at the docking bay. Before going to the ship, Vector stops.

"I know. I don't know all that happened to you, but I understand your misgivings. I hope you can let go of those doubts......soon."

Vector grabs his gear from the transport rack. Yi'shar walks up.

"You ready, Yi'shar?"

Yi'shar grins. "Yes sir."

They walk to the loading ramp.

Vector grins. "Now what kinda talk is that? I thought he was going to help me keep an eye on you."

They board the freighter, and Vector goes into the cockpit. "Pilot, are we ready for launch?"

"Yes Master Jedi," replies the pilot.

"Alright. Set your coordinates for this sector"

I Am Jedi

** Sarlas walks through a series of cave formation, and coming actoss a stone bridge also. He finally comes up the stone steps and enters a room to meet with a woman in a dark robe. **

Sarlas: "Hello, Phara."

Phara: "Valexania to you too, I suppose." *Turns around* "Cratus... you've heard about his... step of faith?"

Sarlas: "Yes... but I wasn't entirely sure if it was true or now... I... I was thinking if I should join him."

Phara: "Of course."

Sarlas: "I have nothing to go back to... nothing to lose... my mind feels at haze right now... I can't go back to the council with my troubled past."

Phara: "The slaver ship--"

Sarlas: "Was not the only 'bad' thing I did."

Phara: "Let us go then." *Starts walking out*

Sarlas: "Where?"

Phara: "To find Cratus... I'm sure your ship is here?"
