and actually pilot your own ebon hawk to other planets.
And while you fight the sppeders, you don't saty in 1 place.
Yu could actually fly around and chase sith fighters.
But kotor 3 is made as a MMO. (SAD)

The mmo is about the old republic, not the knights of the old republic. the story is set to take place 300 years after Revan and the Exile disappeared. it's a time when the Sith Empire has been resurrected and taken control.

apparently, there are going to be options for choosing either Sith or Republic sides in addition to light or dark sides. So you could potentially have a character on the side of the Sith that is a lightsider, etc.

It'd be interesting to try. I don't know if I'd want to play the whole game that way. But sometimes one side will have some really cool stuff, like Boba Fett's armor and weapons, but you don't necessarily want to support that side, so.........anyways.

True. Since Kashyyk was a fairly major planet in KOTOR I it made sense to have Zaalbar. If they go to somewhere like Manaan, they could give you an Ithorian for the party. It would be cool to get a renegade Tusken Raider if you went back to Tattooine.
