I would hardly consider Vader a "pansey welp." Anikian Skywalker was a "pansey welp." Vader was a supreme and powerful leader.

Indeed it took the life of his son to turn his back on the dark side. He showed must loyalty to the dark side. However for him to stray to the dark side it took the life of Padme. Quite unlucky really

I think what Matar ment was that it took the life of his son being in danger to change his ways. Not that his son died.

Yes Vadar had to step in to stop Sidious killing Luke with Force lightening. Showing that Vadar still had some of the old Anakin Skywalker in him still.

Yes, I do not think that is how they planned it what so ever. By this time, there are few Jedi left. Although, Luke and Leia do go on to start a new Jedi Temple and try and rebuild the order. At the same time they try and construct the New Republic.

The jedi had only themselves to blame. Anakin shouldn't have been made a jedi in the first place. The council should of stood by there denial of training him. But I guess it was early days. Still they should of seen anakins rebellious nature?

At the time, the Jedi counsel had many things that they had to deal with. With the persuasion of Kenobi, the counsel would have thought that he could deal with it. Then again, it is the Jedi counsel, and they are all near sighted fools.

Then that would be the Jedi Consels fault. If they cannot detect a Sith Lord when he is no more then 3 feet (about 2.5 meters) from a Jedi Master, then I say they don't deserve to find out.
