No, I'm not playing on vista. What kind of idiot uses vista for games?

Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and now it just shows the ebon hawk flying screen thingy for a while, then disappears for no reason. I don't even get an error screen now.

I recently obtained KotOR for the PC and installed it without issue, but now whenever I try to start the game I get this:
