Does anyone know what she yelled at Jabba to make him so mad anyhow?  Or what they said to each other?  She seemed pretty sorry about it afterward - not that he cared.

I guess we'll never know. She might have been a recent slaves. Recent slaves are more likely to revolt than ones who are... used to it.

Used to being a slave?  True - she seemed like she'd been there a while, but who knows?

And also true - neither of them were too gorgeous...I think I just meant Leia was pretty compared to the Twi'lek.  She actually had hair to style  tongue  Maybe it was just the gold bikini over a few fishnet scraps that helped her there.  At any rate, she was smart enough not to make Jabba mad; can't say that about the other.

Well that's good you aren't in that category smile

Heh - true - though I dare say she might not have had brains OR all the looks in Jabba's opinion.  I mean, she was basically naked and no one in the court cared about her 'til she croaked.  Must have been the "tentacles instead of hair" motif.  Jabba seemed much more happy with Leia, who didn't have to try too hard to win in both categories there.

I mean - did she KNOW about the Rancor?  I remember she acted like she'd been there a while, like being there was kind of old hat; anyone around Jabba for more than a few days would have probably seen that thing in action... Seems like she could have just stepped left or right and avoided being on the trapdoor entirely if she knew about it.  That would be MY first concern if I was about to insult a powerful gangster.  Must not have had too much going on upstairs.

Hehe - nice.  Unfortunately I don't think she'd have had much chance at retaliation against said tongue, unless she was as quick with a chain as Leia.  Seems like she didn't think whatever escape attempt she had planned out very well - or if insult was just it, that was a bit ill-conceived as well.

One scene I never got in Star Wars was the fight he has with that kind of ugly dancing girl. I never understood why she thought she could disobey Jabba and get away with it while everyone else seemed to know better.  She must have been his slave for a while - so she would have to know that even his associates, if they did something wrong, were killed...so for her to think her life might be spared, as a weak & expendable dancer, never made sense.  He even gives her the chance to change her mind and she keeps on pulling.  Did she think, since she was his personal slave and all, that she was somehow above being rancor food?  Even Leia knew better than that.
