ok...

Vector quickly takes her arm. "What if you aren't strong enough?!" he says, worried. "If you use something in that tongue to heal Rane, can you resist the darkness that will follow? Sara, I don't want to lose you, not to a shadow like that!"

Yi'shar shifts his weight uneasily from one foot to the other, watching helplessly. Inside, he felt a growing pity for Sara, and even the man on the table. He still viewed Rane with a great deal of distrust; it seemed to him that there was some monster within the man, hiding in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to reveal itself and destroy them. Still, at the sight of the man writhing in pain, he could not help but feel pity for him.

Yeah, I did a lot of reading on that before trying to write my story. I'm still not sure if I got the time tables right, which is one reason why I tried to stay away from canon characters as much as possible. smile

Kavar leans over, concentrating, then rising thrusts his fists forward as a tremendous surge of force energy shoots through his body and out towards the Sith, shaking the Jedi Temple to its very foundation. With that, all of the temple came alive with activity. Jedi began running here and there, trying to discover what had happened. But the Sith and his opponents were not found in that secluded hallway.

"Why did you come back? Is your hunger for death never to be satisfied, you monster?!"

Meanwhile...

"That's not all," Daan continues. "Revan now has the prisoner. And she won't be anymore willing to let her go than the Mandalorians were."

Norad leans against the railing on the bridge, shaking his head. "You Jedi sure know how to make a mess out of a war!"

"There are more forces at work here than the Mandalorians, and even Revan and her Jedi followers" answers Yi'shar. "Many others, scattered individuals, but with a common dark purpose, are shaping this war. We need to find them if we are going to prevent the carnage that a war with Revan will bring."

"The Kovasn..." Daan says, slowly. "They may know something that could help us... at least, one of them might..."

"It could have been anything! A scout ship, a smuggling frigate, even a wayward satellite!" says the technician doubtfully.

"Couldn't it just be meteor shower like he suggested a moment ago?" adds Jason, checking his communicator while speaking.

"Meteor showers that big don't just show up, we would have known it was coming for several days before hand," replied Kade. "No, something is out there, and it's more than just a smuggler's ship or even a group of space pirates. That is big!"

Jason's comm flashes again, and he reluctantly answers. "Who is this?"

Meanwhile...

The Mandalorian begins taking up their positions, with Casus piloting Mandalore's ship to the center of the armada.

Meanwhile...

Something... faint... a tingle along his spine... the sense of someone calling without words or sounds... thoughts...

"Revan!" Alek cried out. Quickly he hurries towards the rear of the ship searching for her.

sure, go right ahead.  cool

---------------------------------------------------------------

Casus walks to the command bridge of the Mandalorian flagship and takes the communicator. "Mi' Lord Mandalore, the fleet awaits your order for the attack!"

Meanwhile...

Kade and Jason hurry to the observation center. Quickly glancing over the data screens and sensor scopes, Kade says,

"Increase sensor signal to 180 points and sweep this sector."

The order is carried out, and Jason and Kade stare at the scope, waiting the results.

"Wait, there," says Jason, pointing to several signal points appearing on the scope. "It picked up...something."

The sensor operator turns to Kade, "Sir, that could be just a meteor shower or..."

"Increase to 200 hunder and re-sweep!"

The signal points grew larger.

"Something is coming!" says Kade. "Alert defense command!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Mandalorian officers continue their calculations of the planetary defenses and target points. Casus Fett goes to the communications center and holds a conference with the fleet captains through the holographs. A large hologram of the planetary system is projected into the center of the room. Casus takes his place at the control panel.

"Mandalore has given the order to launch our offensive" Casus says. "The analysis of the planetary defenses are still being finalized, but you can see on the map where the main points of attack will be. The fleet will be divided into four groups. Groups 1 and 2 will maintain orbital positions above the planet's atmosphere. You will begin a continuous bombardment of the planet's surface. Groups 3 and 4 will initiate a planetary surface assault at these points..."

*several target areas light up on the map*

Casus continued giving orders to specific groups and ships for several minutes.

Meanwhile...

A soldier comes running from the observations center calling Kade. Turning, Kade says "What's wrong, Juhano?"

"We've detected several sensor sweeps of the planet." replied Juhano. "The signals were strong, but we could not get a lock on the source, and our own planetary sensors have not picked up any ships in the immediate
vicinity."

"Hmmm.....this may be more serious than I thought," says Kade. "Jason, I hate to say this but it looks like you'll have to see yourself off this time."

"Hey you know how I hate deadlines. I can spare a few hours to help you find out what's going on." Jason says.

"It's probably wiser for you to leave now while you still can," says Kade seriously, "but I would still appreciate your help," he continues smiling.

how many Jedi masters is this Sith assassin supposed to take down Starr?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Kavar lunges to the side, dodging the Sith's first attack. Quickly turning, the green blade of Kavar's saber flashes against the red blade of the Sith's saber, sending shockwaves of light and force energy surging through the room.

"You have made your final mistake by returning here" says Master Kavar between saber strokes. "You are in over your head!"

Yeah. I hope they stay that way. I think they more I times play KOTOR 2, the more I realize how much they rushed that game to the shelves. Not a good decision.

Haha, maybe. I guess they could build that option in, and the longer your with the Sith the darker you become, but then give you other chances and options to stay a lightsider. Hmmm.......that would be interesting to work on

Same here. Between the two, I'd rather play Battlefront 3

You're right. and I don't imagine the Wii would be a very fun RPG platform. Still, it would be cool to expand the MMO world into the realm of internet friendly consoles.

**Col. Norad's fleet enters hyperspace, although three or four of the craft on the fringe of the formation were trapped just as their engines engaged, ripping them to shreds**

Col. Norad: Alright, Jedi, we're in hyperspace. I hope for your sake that you're right. Otherwise Republic Naval Command is going to have my butt for leaving that battle.

Yi'shar: Trust me, Colonel, your action saved your fleet for future battles. That single decision may change the course of the war.

Col. Norad: Shouldn't the war be over now? Wasn't that what Revan's new weapon supposed to accomplish?

Daan: Yes, but in using that machine of evil, Revan has made herself into the very enemy she started out to fight. I saw her fall to the darkside on the planet's surface. We'll soon be fighting her and her Sith forces.

**As the Mandalorian ships prepare for their assault on Serecco, the unsuspecting inhabitants are going about their daily business.**

**Jason and Kade stand talking in a courtyard on one of the Republic bases**

Jason: It's been an enjoyable couple of days, Kade! Just the type of furlough I needed! That hunting party yesterday was very exciting...although you needn't mention it to any of the other Jedi...

**The two laugh, each remembering how Jason's master had frowned on their hunting trip on his first visit to the planet many years ago**

Kade: I'll keep that in mind. I'm sorry to see you go; it may be helpful to have a Jedi nearby.

Jason: What do you mean?

Kade: Well, our scanners have been picking up some strange readings in hyperspace. Probably nothing, but our planet is one of the most vulnerable if the Mandalorians try to attack Republic space. I don't think they've forgotten how we fought against them a while back.

Jason: Surely the Mandalorians wouldn't attack here tho, would they? Their main attacks have been small outposts and fringe planets. Attacking Serecco would be the start of outright war!

Kade: I think that's what they've had in mind from the very beginning... Oh well, it's probably nothing to worry about. More than likely those readings are just residual engine heat from smugglers' ships or IR from some sort of weapons testing... who knows.

**The two begin to walk towards the hangar where Jason's Jedi ship is docked**
