War is always a good thing because without war this world would be lame as hell.
There are other things that make life interesting besides war. War is far from exhilarating or glamorous. You don't simply storm the enemy's base with a one man army, guns blazing, merrily killing off every bastard who dares to stand in your way until you get shot and then, oh, respawn and start again. It's not some kind of game, Jester.
It's unrelenting paranoia. It's trekking through unfamiliar territory with heavy packs and heavy guns, attempting to fight a seemingly invisible enemy whose mines, booby traps, and snipers can cut life short without a moment's notice. I know because I've lived it. It's not "kick ass." It's not fun. It's death around every corner. It's watching a comrade die in your arms, unable to do a bloody damn thing about it...
It is a detestable atrocity... one way or another. A necessary evil, we claim, to bring an end to all evils.
