i really liked it, but there were a lot of people that failed the class. We started out with 30 odd students, and by the final exam we only had maybe 14 or so.

right, agree with that. what made it bad was that that was a no fly zone and zero airforce presence, so they weren't used to seeing planes anywhere near that area. So after 9/11, any plane coming near there is gonna make things scary for people.

yeah, especially if it happens more than once. what really burns are the games where you can't save at any point you want, and have to either finish the level or reach a save point. those are difficult.
