Offical Challenge #3: Fairy Tales

Now, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Starr. I’ll be your official challenge-type-thingy coordinator… person… yeah. Anyway, from time to time I’ll be throwing out “official” challenges for you to sharpen your pens/pencils/other weapons of mass distraction on, with fabulous accolades and prestige going to the victors! And, as it so happens, *this* is one of those times!
Announcing Official Challenge #3: Fairy Tales!
Medium: Fiction or artwork.
What’s it about: A KotORian piece based on, or featuring a fairy tale, either already established or just wholly made up by you. Such as, a tale featuring HK-47 patrolling on top of a wall, then falling and breaking and how the entire crew of the Ebon Hawk together couldn’t repair him? (ie: Humpty Dumpty) Or, a bit where a character tells a Star Wars-ian fairy tale to another that was created by you, or, basically, just plain featuring a fairy tale somewhere in the piece.
How to enter: Send me a PM or email on the forums including your writing/art. All etnries will be posted on the same day in the fan fiction section to be judged.
Length: Any. Short or long.
Can I submit something I’ve written/drawn previously?: This has been discussed, and in the interest of fairness, I think we’re going to have to go with original submissions for now. You can write/draw a piece based on something you’ve done in the past, just make sure that the work you submit is newly created for the challenge.
Time to enter: From now ’til Saturday, August 8th, 12noon (EST-US)
Voting period?: Yep! Once the submission window closes, the voting period shall begin, with all submissions posted at the same time.
Time to vote: From Saturday, August 9th at 12noon (EDT-US) ’til Thursday, August 13 at 5pm.
How do we win?: The person in each medium (art and fiction) who receives the most numbers of votes during the voting period will emerge victorious! (But don’t forget to comment, too. This is no license to slack!)
Do we get anything for winning?: Here’s the twist. The winner in each category, art and fiction, will reserve the right to call the challenge for their respective medium the following week. So, be ready with your ideas, because if you win, you’ll need to PM me here on the forums with your challenge idea before the next challnege. All ideas are subject to approval first, however. So no pr0n, no “leet” speak, you get the idea. Also the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in both the art and fiction mediums will receive a brand spanking new forum sig pic, proudly announcing your glorious victory to all should you choose to don it. In fact, all contestants will receive participation siggies for joining in!
