The trip to Korriban will take about two days in Hyperspace. Jade takes this time to talk to her companions. She takes a deep breath and has the hardest one first. “Hey Bastila” she says softly “Hey Jade.” “Time to talk huh?” “Yeah so.” “Yeah. I’m sorry Bastila I’m sorry I left the Jedi and I’m sorry I left, well, you.” Bastila takes a deep breath “Yeah I know and I’m sorry I haven’t kept in touch.” “No you had ever right to be mad at me. I was after all suppose to be your master. Bastila I really wanted you as my apprentice, but I just can’t believe love is worthless.” Bastila looks at her with sadness in her eyes. “I know Jade I really do.” “I have a feeling though Bastila that you’re hiding something from me. Why do I feel this way Bast?”
Bastila’s face goes blank a sure sign she is hiding something from Jade. “I don’t know Jade why do you feel that way?” “Fine Bastila fine don’t tell mem but don’t pretend I’m stupid it will come out eventualy I just wonder in the end when it comes out how people will be hurt.” Bastila stares at her with a haunted look “I’m sorry jade I just can’t.” Jade touches her briefly on the shoulder “I know, but Bast it will come out.” She smiles sadly and leaves Bastila staring out the window.
Next stop the interesting Canderous. “Hello Canderous” she says smiling what’s yah doing there? “Working on my weapons.” :Ah you know what they say about boys and their toys” she says smiling. Canderous looks up laughing “yeah, yeah so what’s you want sexy. “Sexy huh when have you got your eyes check lately?” “Excuse me I’m a mandalorian my eyesight is perfect.” “Why Cand you flirting with me?” “Yeah and what are you going to do about it he says gently. Jade looks at him quizzically “umm well hmm, So can we just um talk Cand please tell me about your self?” “Ah want to hear my wars stories Huh?” “Yeah” she says laughing “I do.” They talk for over an hour Canderous has her laughing so hard at times and shocked at others. “Well Cand you’ve had an interesting life.” She stands up and sways he catches her “man I was sitting in that position to long” she says smiling. Canderous just stares at her and kisses her softly.” Then leans back and looks over her shoulder, he steps back. “Stuck on the pilot huh.” he says sadly. “Yeah maybe” Canderous walks up to her and tilts her face back. “I hope he realize how lucky he is.” Jade looks down and steps back embarrassed she’s flustered and doesn’t like. She turns around just in time to see the back of Carth walking away. “Well dang it” she say’s softly. “Yeah well you remember what I said ok Jade?” “Yeah I will thanks Cand.”
If he was any madder the steam would be coming out his ears how dare that mandalorina hit on her. He slams him self into the pilots chair. “So what has you so hot under the collar Carth and don’t say nothing!” Jolee ask. Carth looks at him for a second and Jolee laughs “a woman huh?” “Yeah” Carth says angrily. Jolee looks at him. “It wouldn’t be certain attractive Jedi by the name of Jade would it.” Carth blushes “am I that see through” “No, but I’ve been in love before.” “I’m not, I mean umm.” “Yeah sure save it lad I know love.” “Yeah well there’s nothing I can do about.” Jolee looks off for a moment. “Listen to me Carth and listen good. You have the power in your hand more then any one else to either save her or destroy her and there will come a time where you will have to make that choice!” “Huh?” Carth says lost. Jolee stares at him hard. “I mean it. It’s not going to be easy, but you will have to decide if your love is stronger then your hate and if it isn’t you will destroy her.” Carth looks at him with chills running up and down his spine. He can feel it deep with in him that what Jolee is saying is true and it scares him.
Jade finds Juhani going through the medical supplies. “Hey Juhani can we talk?” “Talk? Talk about what?” “Well you.” The carthain smiles “sure.” Over the next couple hours Jade learns that Juhani has had rough life. Her planet destroyed (Taris) her father dead, her mom unable to cope and Juhani almost a slave if it weren’t for some Jedi stepping in. Jade looks at Juhani She wants hug her, but doesn’t think she should. Then Juhani says “I’ve never felt welcome or wanted till I meet you.” Now Jade gives into the impulse to hug her. “Yeah well you should you are wanted thank you for coming.” “No thank you Jade.” she says.
Jade heads back to her bed very tired and finds Carth there waiting for her. He’s sitting on her bed watching her as she comes in the room. Heat flushes through her, but darn if she will let him know that he affects her this way. “Get lost flyboy?” “No” he says quietly “well that’s my bed and I need a nap I’m tired.” Carth looks at her not sure if he wants to be mad at her or Canderous for what had happened earlier. He plays it safe for now. “What are your nightmares about?” “I’m not sure I see people dying and others fighting there’s such emptiness and I feel so lost and alone but none of it makes sense the only ones I can remember are the ones Bast and I share. Look Carth I really am tired.” He stands and goes to the chair and sits down. “Well I’m not leaving.” he says stubbornly. “Fine Carth” she says wearily and with her back turned, takes off her robe and lays down within moments she asleep. Carth watches her sleep and sure enough another nightmare hits her, but this time instead of leaving he lies down next to her and holds her. She quiets and wraps her self around him tightly and falls into a deep peacefully sleep.
Jade wakes up still wrapped around him. Angry at the intrusion just as much as she is comforted by his act of caring, “Darn him she thinks Why is he doing this to me as tears fall down her face silently Carth shifts in his sleep and his arms tighten around her. “It’s ok Jade I’m here” he says softly and then snores. Jade’s heart stutters then skips a beat he said Jade not Mo jade. She has heard him sleep before and has heard Mo’s name cross his lips a couple times. Not this time. She feels like her heart is going to beat out of her chest. She lies there for a moment making sure he’s really asleep, then gently disentangles herself and goes walking in a daze from the conflux of emotion hitting her. She runs into Mission who takes one look at her face and wraps her arms around her. Jade collapses in the twelek arms sobbing. “Oh god I’ve fallen in love with him Mish and I just know he’s going wind up hurting me!” “I know Jade I know, but it’s going to be ok I just know it!” “How can you know Mish” “Because love is stronger then hate remember?” “I hope so Mish I truly do” She goes back to her bed and lays down next to Carth, but makes sure she’s not touching him.
The next day the crew makes preparations. Knowing that they are landing on a Sith base makes them all nervous. Except Canderous who just goes about his normal everyday stuff. Carth is watching everything Jade does with a kinda hungry look in his eyes Jolee notices this. “Breathe Carth if you stare at her any harder she’d melt” Carth laughs and walks off. After a busy day of stocking and checking and making list and making sure the weapons and amour are working the crew heads to bed worried about tomorrow. Carth once again lies down next to Jade and won’t let take no for answer. “Did you have any nightmare last night” he says stubbornly “umm no, no I didn’t.” “Then there you have your answer.” The next morning Carth wakes up first and lies there watching her. He smiles softly a guy could get used to this. He thinks it’s nice, well the waking up aroused is kinda rough, but heck I can handle it as long as it’s her I can wake up next to. He kisses her softly on the check and gets up to prepare the Ebon Hawk for landing.
