As the battle raged on outside of Khoonda, Azkul and Sashé faced off.
“You don’t want to fight,” Sashé suggested, using the Force to cloud his mind.
“Ha! You think that will stop me? I was trained by Darth Malak himself! Your petty Jedi tricks have no effect on me!”
“Looks like I’ve arrived just in time,” Master Vrook said, running into Khoonda.
“Two Jedi! Double the bounty. Men, attack!”
The Jedi easily dispatched the mercenaries, saving the Administrator’s life.
“I thank you,” the Administrator said to the Jedi Knights. “Without you, Khoonda would certainly have fallen. Here,” she said, offering some credits to Sashé. “Take these as a reward.
“No, keep them,” Sashé answered, closing the Administrator’s hand around the money. “Use them to stabilize Khoonda.”
“Thank you.”
“And I believe you wanted to ask me some questions,” Vrook said. “Well, let’s have them.”
“First, why did you cast me out of the Jedi Order?”
“Because you openly defied the Council and left with Revan and Malak to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. Yet only you returned to face us, which we thought unusual.”
“Why did you cut me off from the Force, then?”
“We did nothing to you! Your loss of the Force was your own fault.”
“But I have re-established my connection to the Force,” Sashé said.
“Maybe it is Dantooine, but I feel nothing from you,” Vrook muttered stubbornly. ‘Why have you come here anyway?”
“The Sith are alive in the galaxy. I need your help to stop them.”
“The Sith? I feel you are speaking the truth. How do you know this?” he demanded.
“They’ve been following me since Peragus,” Sashé said.
“Well, then there is only one thing left to do.” He began to walk towards the Administrator’s office. “Gather the remaining Jedi Knights in the Enclave here of Dantooine. Then we will decide what we will do against this threat.”
“Yes, Master Vrook.” Sashé bowed respectfully and turned away.
“Wait. I suppose there is something I should show you. It will definitely come in handy against powerful blasters.” He activated his lightsaber and began to parry imaginary potshots. “This is the Shiien form,” he said, still deflecting the nonexistent bolts. “It comes in handy when you’re outnumbered . . . which is most of the time.” He deactivated his emerald lightsaber. “Now you try.”
Sashé activated her silver lightsaber and imitated the form perfectly.
“I don’t know how you learned that so quickly,” Vrook said, impressed. “Good luck on your journey.” He turned and began to walk to the Administrator’s office but then turned back and bowed. “May the Force be with you,” he said, giving Sashé a rare smile.
“May the Force be with you as well,” she answered.
